The room had a surface level clean. There were many areas that were not deep cleaned. The property has been remodeled with certain areas remaining dirty and outdated. The staff member that checked us is was incredibly rude. She approached the desk on her personal phone with headphones in. Once she finally acknowledged us I gave her my name and began spelling it for clarification. She promptly cut me off and said that I was “incredibly insulting” for spelling it for her. She began to lecture me thereafter. I had to interrupt her and ask her to finish checking me in. I spoke to the general manager the next day. She wasn’t dismissive but there was only a generic apology. Nothing more. We have five trips to Birmingham in the next three months. We will NOT be back.
