The morning waitress who seems to have control of the hotel at that shift was the most unpleasant hotel employee I have ever encountered. Yesterday when ordering breakfast, she gave me friction for sitting at a table of 6 chairs by myself. When I explained there were more joining me. She snuffed me and walked away, I asked how long it would take to order breakfast, because I had a shuttle to catch. She said what do you want and I ordered bacon breakfast. My breakfast came and it was wrong I received sausage. I had no time to have it corrected. This morning, the same woman this morning gave me a hard time to check out. I was unable to pay cash, unable to to get a receipt. Had to be allowed to exit the room hallway to access the lobby. I confronted her on being so unprofessional and unpleasant not only with me but with other customers, she replied yes I am. On top of this. The tv was all unhooked, the telephone was unplugged and in the nightlife table drawer. A very poor experience, I should be totally refunded for such a poor experience. There were 2 East Indian girls in the evenings that were quite friendly and pleasent.

The condition of the hotel outside my room was even more concerning. The rear entrance doors did not lock, allowing unrestricted access to the building. There were individuals loitering around the property who appeared to be homeless or under the influence of drugs, making the environment feel unsafe. Throughout both nights there were loud arguments and fights, music blasting in the hallways well into the early morning hours, and repeated knocking on my hotel room door at all hours of the night. I was unable to get the rest expected during a work trip because of the constant disturbances. I reported the condition of my room and requested that it be cleaned. While housekeeping did attend the room, it received only a superficial cleaning and many of the original issues remained. After that, I was unable to locate staff at the front desk again despite trying multiple times. It genuinely felt as though staff avoided interacting with me once I had raised concerns. I would like to emphasize that I was never rude or disrespectful—I simply wanted the clean, safe accommodations that had been paid for. Perhaps the most telling part of the experience was the reaction from local residents. Several people I spoke with in Morden were genuinely shocked that I was staying at the Morden Motor Inn and expressed concern about the hotel's reputation. Unfortunately, my experience confirmed those concerns.

When we opened the door, the room had an unpleasant smell. The water smelled so bad we wouldn't even use it to brush our teeth. Bedding had stains we didn't notice until morning. If we hadn't been so tired, we'd have gone elsewhere.
