Our first king room had nice decor, a river view - but freeway noise was so bad we moved to an interior queen room that was much smaller but quieter for the remainder of our stay. They had no towel racks and for whatever reason we had to keep asking for wash clothes (one fell apart). Staff was super! Friendly, helpful and accommodating. Restaurant was really good. So convenient to old city we could walk everywhere. It was a classic old place that overall we would recommend.

Great hotel in a great location, right near the historic sites. We had an issue on our first night with the people staying next door, and the hotel manager promptly called me the next day and offered to move our room to an upgraded room. The staff even carefully moved our things for us, while we were out sightseeing. The management is great and very accommodating. We would definitely stay again!

The Penn’s View was lovely in every way and very conveniently located for all we went to do in Philly. I would rate it 100% except for 3 rather minor things. We could only get lukewarm water in the bath/shower, the jacuzzi didn’t work ( but that wasn’t a high priority), and the room had a little damp odor when the AC wasn’t turned on high. The service was excellent, and the value for the cost was very good. We will book again.

No on site parking. They want you to park in an external lot for $40 overnight. Front desk clerk barely spoke English. Stayed at best western plus in pennsauken, less than 5 miles away. It was a cleaner and nicer room with on site free parking and the employees spoke English.

We loved the location and ambiance of the Penn’s View given the focus of our trip was Old City, Philadelphia. The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and supplied with commonly expected amenities and bathroom products. We especially appreciated that we could stay parked (in lot next to hotel) and walk everywhere during our 3 night stay. We cannot comment on the restaurant or bar since we didn’t use these areas. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was our first time staying at the Penn’s View Hotel but will not be our last. Our room was spacious, so clean and even had an outdoor terrace. Check in was easy and efficient and the staff was friendly and helpful. Neighborhood has so much history and plenty of places to find coffee and food. We parked on the street and made use of the parking app. But the hotel does have paid parking.

The hotel was in a good location, the majority of the things we wanted to see were walkable. Parking next door was $40.00 a night but I guess when you’re in the city payment for parking is a must. I did like that there was an attendant in the lot all night. We didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant . Overall, stay was good and I would stay again.
