Yikes!
Check in was interesting… I had left notes for my friend to be able to check in as she was going to get there before me. The check-in agent gave my friend a hard time and was refusing to check her in, instead wanting to cancel the original booking and rebook under my friend’s name. Eventually it got sorted and they checked her and her daughter in, but into the wrong room type. We specifically asked for a room with a roll-away so when I arrived I had to sort it out. The check-in agent told me they were booked up and could no longer accommodate our request, which was super irritating as I had called ahead to make sure everything was all in order. After a few mins she found a room for us. Once everything was sorted, the clerk said she had to count some coins then would come and deliver the roll-away. We waited at least 20mins before calling down and asking about the bed and the clerk acted like it was the first time we spoke about it. Very strange, almost comical experience.
The room was run down. The extra deadbolt to the room didn’t work so we relied on the metal hook, and the bathroom door didn’t lock. At one point my daughter took something out of the fridge and when she removed it the spill tray got knocked over and water spilled all over the carpet. The girls soaked up the water with a couple swim towels and the towels very grossly turned brown. The faucets also looked very dirty but it was hard water and regular wear and tear. Renovations should be made a priority there.
