I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Holiday Inn Boca Raton - North was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others.
I booked my reservation several weeks in advance while traveling from Maryland to Boca Raton for an incredibly special occasion — my son’s college senior night!This was not a casual trip. It was a milestone moment for my family.
I landed late Tuesday night, February 24, 2026, at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and called the hotel to let them know I would arrive in about 20 minutes. I was left on hold for over 27 minutes — so long that I was still on hold when I physically arrived at the property.
That is when I was informed — without apology, without prior notice, and without any reasonable solution — that the hotel had overbooked and no longer had a room available for me.
Let that sink in.
I had a confirmed reservation. I was traveling from out of state. I arrived late at night in a city I am unfamiliar with. And no one had the basic decency or professionalism to call, email, or notify me in advance that I would be left without accommodations.
To make matters significantly worse, one female employee displayed an appalling attitude from the moment I approached the desk. Rather than showing empathy or attempting to resolve the situation, her demeanor was dismissive, hostile, and shockingly unprofessional.
