Overall it was a basic roadside motel. Property was under construction by the roadside so appearances at first were a little off putting but lobby and room were basic and functional with all amenities as advertised. I enjoyed my recent stay at Cedar Cove. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the premises were quiet. The continental breakfast was a huge plus. My room was pretty standard and no frills, but i also liked that there was a refrigerator and microwave. The fridge wasn't terribly cold, but it was adequate. I also would have greatly appreciated a non-slip mat in the bathtub. The motel has easy access to most things one would like to do in Sandusky: shopping, parks, the mall and restaurants are only a few minutes away. Castaway Bay is within walking distance. I'd gladly stay there again.

The staff are great! I don't use the pool, but it was busy everyday. I like the hot breakfast every morning. And you can't beat the location if you're going to Cedar Point. The Thirsty Pony across the street has great food and a cool vide. I've been staying here every year for at least 15 years. It's my go to in Sandusky.

The property is located very close to Cedar Point amusement park, which is the sole reason for our trip. The front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful, who let us check out 1 hr later for my husband’s meeting and lend their kitchen utensils for our personal use. Although the property is outdated, the layout is pretty good. The room we stayed is quite spacious, especially the bathroom area. The complementary breakfast is a bonus. Should I visit cedar point again in the near future, I will stay at this property again.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding our recent stay. The staff was great—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the condition of the room did not meet our expectations. There was trash left behind from the previous guests, and when we first walked into the room, there was a puddle of water on the floor from the air conditioner leaking. In addition, the headboard of the bed was loose and appeared to be barely hanging in place. While we appreciated the excellent service from the staff, we were disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the room. These issues should have been addressed before the room was made available to new guests.
