Great location. Walking distance to the Vatican with great shopping and food choices. Property is hidden away with a central courtyard. Only a few rooms so it was quiet. Max was very accommodating and assisted with our local transportation.

Our stay here was great. Max was great communicating with us to arrange check-in. Because he does not stay on site he was a bit rushed to leave. The room was clean, a good size and king bed. The shower is too small.

Good location

We love the location as close to restaurants, shopping and Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica Square. The place has an elevator (small but this is common in Europe). Our room was the right size, even the bathroom (just stand alone shower), bed like a queen size. The bed is firm but comfortable, good wifi, clean room, there is an A/C but not strong enough as we stayed here summer and hot. The proprietor was very responsive to all our inquiries, we had good communication.

Stayed two nights in Rome before heading east, and the location was perfect for us. We were close to many many great restaurants and coffeehouses, and spent one day walking from the hotel to the Spanish stairs, the fountain and coliseum. The area felt very safe and quiet but still busy with a buzzing feel. But on top of all this, the best was still the host Max. He kept in contact with us before we arrived to make sure we were coming in and if we needed anything, and even tho we landed after check in hours, he kept in touch and came to the hotel to welcome us. Great service minded guy and helped us with maps, gave us his personal number for texting stupid questions like what pizzeria he recommended etc. The hotel itself is an apartment Max rebuild to 4 separate hotel rooms with its own bathroom. Good space, we were 3 people (one 12 y/o) with couple of bags but didn’t feel crowded. Good beds, clean bathroom and we weren’t bothered by any noise at all. If we go back to Rome, we have to try get a reservation at his hotel again.

Max was a great host!

Max was an amazing host. 3rd time visiting Rome and he made our stay one to remember. Max was very quick to respond as soon as i booked the room. We had an early arrival and he went out of his was to be there for early check in. The room was perfect and well kept. We felt very secure as we needed a card to open multiple doors before we arrived to our room. Honestly if i could rate this place 10 stars i would. Def worth it. Everything is walking distance from the room.

Beautiful room, great location

Max, our host, was very helpful and friendly! We had a beautiful room. It’s a great location, too. The recommended parking lot is very close; make sure to get your ticket/stub validated or you won’t get the discount for staying at Residenzia Alexander.

Better than exceptional!

I don’t think there is a high enough mark for the level of service provided by Max! The hotel is lovely and the location is perfect. The service and care Max provided is truly what made my stay perfect. I was driving in from Florence with a rental car to drop off my bags and check in before dropping off my car. I shared my location with Max via WhatsApp and he was waiting for me outside of the hotel to welcome me and ensure a smooth check in. Max treated me like family and provided excellent tips for dining. It was hard to say goodbye to him! The rooms are beautiful and the hotel has 4 rooms so it’s very intimate and very secure. Perfect end to my trip!

Bit peculiar to find Max's property but once we were there it was perfect. So clean and modern inside and the location was just right doe sightseeing in Rome. Max had excellent suggestions on our arrival for places to see and eat, and communication was very good. Wonderful gem of a guest house here.

Great hotel

We had a lovely stay at Residenza Alexander. Max was a great host and surprised us with a little bottle of prosecco on our last day. The place is very clean and tucked into a residential building in a nice district. Excellent location. Would highly recommend.
