The room was very humid and smelled. When we asked the front desk if there is anything that could be done, they were very dismissive about it. Instead of offering to switch rooms/ any other solution all they did was advise us to turn ac on.
We had some other questions to the front desk and overall customer service was terrible. Again all the answers were dismissive. It sounded like they were unhappy to be there and we didn’t feel welcome there.
For the price we paid ~$300-350 per night (because we left early) it’s completely not worth it. Breakfast not included, staff is unwelcoming and the room smelled.
We witnessed other guests to be treated similarly. So we do not recommend that place.

Miscommunication Leads to Disappointment
i was very upset and frustrated because hotels.com did not update the room count—even though The Doubletree sent them a notice after the renovations—so i booked a suite that wasn’t available and got downgraded. I went to the hotel manager first who did their best to make up for this by giving us free breakfast passes, because we made the reservation through a 3rd party. Then i spoke to a Hotels.com agent to see if we could get a partial refund but they said “since it was already resolved” they couldn’t do anything more for us and that we should have come to them first, however when i asked if i had gone to them first would we have gotten a partial refund they said they “couldn’t guarantee one”. So, it seems like no matter what we were at a loss. Hotels.com needs to follow through with their updates and checking with all hotels to make sure everything is accurate. My partner and i tried to make the best of our trip after that..
