One Night Stay

The staff was very nice and check in was easy and quick. The hotel is older and could use some updating. The room was pretty clean but the bathroom floor was really bad. I used the extra towels to put on the floor so I didn't have to walk on it. The continental breakfast was very good with several items to choose from, both hot and cold. Overall for the price it was what I would expect.

So disappointed by new owners and management.

Part 2 of previous review My credit statement clearly says Comfort Inns. So they still have not taken action to return my refund. Manager still not there, but I learned some things. Unhappy employees for sure and none from when I was there prior to new management. The hotel fired 2 employees that were perpetrating a scam. My question? How did a charge to the hotel wind up in their pockets. Why has Comfort Inns taken a lack of responsibility attitude? Needless to say I won't be going back. I need answers. I will contact the police and Choice Hotels now. It's been long enough. Aside from the whole stealing episode, the hotel I loved to frequent often, had really suffered from cleanliness, missing towels, the sink dripped hot water for 3 days, the internet did not work, and the parking lot was not plowed. They cut the rates they were paying employees therefore, perhaps you get what you pay for. I can't t say, but it was implied by others. They certainly hired two criminals who were comfortable enough to blatantly steal under the name of Comfort Inns. I brought these things up to a totally demoralized desk clerk who said his hands were tied. I needed to talk to management. I could go on, but I do not know how much space I actually have here. I want you to know I really loved this quiet country place. It is really sad to see it decline so quickly. I wish Bonnie had not "retired" and miss how she ran the place. They lost a customer, me, who stayed between 20 to 30 nights a year.

Was great until new management part 1

Keep Away. Be warned. I don't trust them. Part 1. First off let me say that this Comfort Inn was a delight to visit in the past. I probably stayed there 20 or more nights in 2024. Back in mid Dec 2024, I visited for a few days to find it under new management. I was shocked. I frequented enough that I knew some of the staff. Bonnie the manager was a very nice and hospitable person. She was gone. People make a difference. It was very homey there. Very quiet. Clean. The first time under new management they charged me a deposit. Strange, but OK?... I have seen this before throughout my career. Fast forward to today. I have yet to get my deposit back. I returned to stay a few nights over the Jan 1, 2025 holiday. I was told to talk to the manager, who was not there. I was told to leave my information and I would get a call back. I never got a refund or call. I stayed there a third stay, under this new management/owner, on the 24th of January 2025. I was determined to clear this up. I couldn't fathom a hotel being complicit and denying responsibility for their employees. I mentioned it to them. From what I have learned so far, the person that asked me to insert my credit card was fired along with another. He was also the one to have me leave my information so someone could call me about the refund. This happened to other visitors as well. How many? It's hard to say. The deposit charge was a weird number $179.78 I had inserted my card into the legit hotel desk credit terminal.

The employee tried to charge me again for the room which I already paid for. He had no clue how to check anyone in. Then Was placed in double queen room when I bought a king room. Then when we got switched to a king room....the heat didn't work so we needed to get switched back to a double queen.
