The parking is good. There is a nice pool and restaurant. You will have breakfast with a lot of sea birds nearby and other animals waiting for you here and there. The facilities in the room are really aged and don’t work efficiently, including the toilet, sink, closet, telephone, doors.

The website and the reality are completely different. Instead of a nice resort, you get bedbugs, roaches, and rooms that clearly aren’t cleaned properly. Even after specifically telling staff that there was a booger on the window and black spots on the wall, nothing was cleaned. The furniture is extremely outdated and honestly should have been replaced a long time ago. Staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful. If you try to walk around the room in white socks, be prepared to throw them away afterward.

Very nice property with a wonderful continental breakfast. Pool area is great! Close to Skippers restaurant, which has good food. Also close to snorkeling, scuba diving, and sightseeing boats. Rooms need updating, especially bathroom.. Really enjoyed the place though!

The room was in need of repair. It was very rundown but the property was at the marina and the views were just beautiful. The staff was very pleasant. We had a wonderful stay despite the condition of the room

It is a nice location close to some good restaurants and the staff were friendly. The issue was the condition of the room. The door had a three-quarter to 1 inch gap underneath of it. The bathroom, which was ADA friendly, had a bench in the shower that folded down, but there was no latch to keep it up and out of the way. There was almost no water pressure in the shower despite the faucet having good pressure as well as a lightbulb out in the bathroom. The whole time we were there, we were thinking that the sounds from outside were unusually loud for having the windows closed and blinds drawn and on her last day there, I walked in front of those windows from outside and realize that the windows themselves were out of the tracks they ride in and cocked sideways so they were partially open. I was also surprised by the 50 something dollar ” resort fee.” when I checked in having already prepaid for my entire stay.

The breakfast food and coffee were not good and did not taste fresh. However, the bedroom was comfortable. I was also disappointed that there was no mini refrigerator in the room to store my drinks. Additionally, there was no one available on-site during check-in hours, which required me to go to Howard Johnson to pick up the key and then return. I also had difficulty finding the room because Howard Johnson provided incorrect building information.

We enjoyed our stay at Marina Del Mar Resort and Marina. The room was very clean and staff was kind and helpful. Location was amazing, two restaurants, glass bottom boat rides and fishing party boats within steps of our room. The dock was nice and we saw lots of wildlife. I would definitely book this place again.
