Very poor customer service and resolution.

We reserved 3 rooms for 2 nights with a party of 9 family members. Went to check into the hotel and was allowed to check in without being notified that the entire building was without hot water. It would have been professional and appropriate to let us know the building was without hot water and ask if we would like to wait for resolution for make alternate reservations and another chain. We had to find out on our own that we were unable to take showers. This was late on a Friday night and when asked for a refund, we were told only a manager could approve and would not be in until the morning. We were forced to make alternate reservations at another hotel chain. On trying to contact management the next day, we were told he was not in. After contacting him on the following Monday, I was told he would have to check into it. After 3 more calls, he is still not returning my call in which he said he would need to verify when the keys were turned in (Which was within the hour after check in). In calling the Corporate office, we were told it would take a week for any possible resolution. I highly recommend only using Mariott Hotel chains as front desk personnel has full authority to resolve any issue without management approval.

Close to Perfect

Went to a Rick Springfield concert at Cynthia Woods Pavilion. This location was perfect and cheaper than other options. Pro tip park your car at Kirby Icehouse pre game a little and walk into concert. Hotel was clean, safe, and in great condition. The beds were comfortable but moved around a lot if you know what I mean. AC was on a thermostat so didn’t make noise all night. Great shower, soap, shampoo, conditioner and plenty of well placed outlets. Breakfast was awesome good variety and tasty great coffee. Just a couple concerns no tea available in room or at breakfast (sad face for the wife) and pool hours 10 am really?you don’t have lifeguards and with check out time at 11 BS. Fix those and you go from good to awesome.

Disappointed

The tv guide only shows the channel name, not what’s playing. No streaming options. Cable signal went in and out. Only one coffee pod in the room. No fan in bathroom Not real guest friendly. They gave no info regarding the property when checking in. Was very accommodating when it was Drury. The new owner did away with happy hour, dinner and apparently hospitality as well. The “guest general store” was pitiful. Property seemed more unkempt than it did a few months ago. It was just disappointing considering how nice it was just a few months back.
