Horrible

When we arrived I had to use the restroom but was told it was for employees only. So I had to check in while needing to pee badly. Second the AC was horrible, room was hot. The carpets were badly stained and there was a live roach in the bed. Never will stay here again!!!

Never Again

I called ahead and said that our flight was delayed and we would be later than we thought. The person on the phone said you have until 3 am. That was okay. We get to the property, first there is no signage stating the name of the hotel, second while i understand why the doors are locked overnight, when someone comes in to check in, please don't act like we are bothering you. The person at the front desk was very dry, i wouldn't say rude, but he did act like we was bothering him. Instead of him asking me what method of payment i wanted to use, he snaps at me, "your card on file was declined." I stated to him, i dont even know what card you "have on file," but this is the one i want to use. He didnt tell us where the elevators were, didnt mention breakfast, nor check out time. Fine, however, when i asked about breakfast he points to the wall. Fast forward, we are in the beds sleep. I feel something crawling on me. Its a freaking roach. A bit later i wake up, because now i cant sleep, and i look over to my daughter's bed and there is yet another roach crawling up her bed . Ugh Breakfast was a joke, i go down and i know that they use liquid eggs, but there is a way to make them and jot have them look grey. The sausage they nuked them so bad you couldnt eat them. They had a waffle maker and although i sprayed it it waffle stuck so bad to the machine that i couldn't get it out. Asked for assistance and the woman says that its 10:02 and its time for her to close up. So many issues

Need better staff

I had a 38 min wait to get checked in. There isn’t a public restroom available in the general area only for staff. I booked a king suite was given a basic handicap room. I complained to the receptionist he didn’t want to change my room. The carpets recked which caused the room to have an odor. Breakfast wasn’t on time and closed early. 1 Elevator didn’t work the other definitely needs maintenance. The second day of my stay my key on longer worked and again the receptionists slow and rude she didn’t want to provide her name. She wasn’t aware of how the booking process worked she was having to call other people to help guide her thru the check in process.

THIS PLACE IS TRASH

False advertising, the hotel is dirty, smells like pure bleach and cigarettes all around the rooms. Everything including all the counters were dirty in my room. Curtains and blinds were broken into pieces, toilet and bed had stains on them. This was so bad I checked out within 2 hours of being there

Not as pictured

This hotel is old and the pictures are deceiving. The carpets are heavily stained and need to be pulled up. The tub in the bathroom is rusty and there was tissue in the vents. There are stains all over the walls and fabric bed rails(I think that's what it's called). The elevator stopped working, and the pool area wasn't working properly. After checking the sheets and looking for bedbugs, I can say at least the sheets appeared to be clean. There were also a few roaches that came out of hiding, and that was it!! We IMMEDIATELY gathered our bags after shaking them out and left. I will say the staff was friendly, and they do serve breakfast, but we didn't eat it. I politely let the front desk know and she said she would let someone know about the issues. I only need the room to rest before hitting the road to continue our travels. I definitely wish I'd read the Google reviews and not the ones on hotels.com. I guess you get what you pay for!!

Misleading sale of a hotel brand that is not

Hotels.com sold me a Sonesta Essential - and the actual hotel is NOT a Sonesta - This is misleading and is a fraud - you can't sale anyone a hotel with a brand that implies a level of quality and then us had to find out that it is not actually a Sonesta affiliated hotel. I will seek advice on our rights - My group was of 15 people with 7 rooms and everyone had complaints.

Bad experience with this hotel. Room smelled bad as soon as we walked in. The hotel does not even have the name outside. Pictures are not even close to what you get. Roach was killed on wall and it seems its been there for a while.give it a 1 star because there is no 0. Staff was not friendly when we checked in.

No pool and busted pipe.

We came for the indoor swimming pool. I had even called but when we got there the pool was closed. Friday night where our room was, there was a pool of water on the floor and the ceiling tile broke through and was on the floor. No water that night. The next morning we had water but it was freezing. We still couldn't take a shower that day. It made the trip pretty aggravating because we had went to the ocean and had salt water and sands on us. I was wished we could have been able to have water in the room and other than the pipe busting right outside our room and the loud fan the at our door, it was a good trip.
