Cash deposit policy different than app

I needed to stay one night somewhere close to my work bc I had car trouble, and Baymont North at I-75 is practically next door. Everything was great, especially for the price, but there was just one issue: The front desk clerk told me that anyone living within a 100-mile radius is required to put down a $200 cash deposit, but your app says it’s $100. I realize that’s the fault of the property, not hotels.com, but it should be updated immediately. I have no clue as to the reason for this arcane policy, but while $100 is a lot of money, especially these days, $200 is insane! Plus, although they did give me a receipt for the $200, I envisioned having a hard time the next morning getting it back without a lot of rigamarole. Luckily, there was no problem with that at all, but I do find the policy curious.

We rented the room solely because of the indoor heated pool for my child we dropped off our belongings to check in went and ate came back the pool was 52°. The room was nasty beds are nasty we went to the desk and said we were getting a full refund we left within 3 hours and went the next exit up to pal now I'm having to fight tooth and now for my deposit and what I was charged on my credit card they said I would get a full refund everybody I talked to today on this side acts as if they are illiterate I cannot understand I was charged $329 for $102 room I need assistance.
This is when we were in town took my son is first Tennessee football game

Pretty bad - I had to clean the bathroom!

I didn’t care for the service at the front desk. I am traveling 1400 miles. I keep all my cards locked, and wasn’t expecting to have to pay a $50 deposit upon arrival. Which is fine, but you could read the impatience and frustration in body language of the man “assisting” me, as I took a moment to unlock my card. And when I asked if the property had a pool (I couldn’t remember because I browsed so many hotels) he responded as if it were a silly question and said “NO.” Then I saw, there was in fact, a pool. Whoever “cleaned” my room, left an envelope with a note asiggeating gratuity. There were urine stains on and under the toilet seat. Surfaces and sink faucet were not wiped down. Not to mention I couldn’t walk barefoot on the floor, or my feet would get super dirty. I couldn’t believe it. Good things I had cleaning supplies on me! The bed was pretty comfortable, so I was grateful for that. Oh, and by the way, you can’t stream your media to the TV. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed.

Not recommended.

Noise level was loud when trying to sleep. The room was partially clean. Not much of a breakfast selection. It was outdated carpet looked rugged also.

Remodeling and the debris associated that didn't bother me, but I was surprised it was not mentioned in the property description. Reserved two King Bedrooms and when we arrived not long after (<30 minutes) the booking was told we would have to take two Queen Beds rooms vs. single King rooms? If we had known, we weren't getting the rooms we reserved, and the property had construction ongoing we would have booked one of the many other available hotels.

They were in the process of remodeling/upgrading so i know that it should improve as it does need the upgrade. The staff was pleasant enough. However, it states that there is a heated indoor pool on the site and on a big sign at entrance. I asked then to take padlock off pool enclosure and they said they would but never came. I chose this particular hotel mainly for that feature. So major dissapointment.

Took ten minutes to check in after repeatedly ringing the bell. Bathroom sink was clogged, toilet was child-sized, in-room coffee was terrible, saw 2 cockroaches in the room. Not enough power outlets. Construction was happening day & night across the hall. Exterior room doors, heard constant maid carts rumbling by my door. Breakfast was very sad, just waffles & muffins.
