I have never left a negative review (just don't have the time), but this time I felt strongly enough to where I will. I would highly recommend NOT staying at this hotel.
1) The hotel location is right next to a busy highway and arterial road so there is constant loud noise of cars, trucks and motorcycles. I live in the city so noise rarely bothers me but this was really bad.
2) This hotel is under major renovation with dust, wet paint, orders of paint thinners on the guest floors, not to mention construction materials, trash, drywall crumbs, other rubbish all over the hallways. One would think the hotel will ask the contractor to clean up a bit before they leave for the day.
3) The fire alarm in my first room was chirping every 20 mins throughout the night. The hotel moved me to a new room because they apparently "couldn't fix the wiring problem", but I noticed someone checking in to the same room that night.
4) The second room I stayed in had a strong smell of BO and cigarettes. Then in the middle of the night, someone in the adjacent room (connected by internal doors) or hallway was smoking... I was of the understanding that this hotel was a non-smoking premise.
5) I checked out one night early as I simply couldn't handle the BO in my room. When I explained my experience to the front desk manager on duty, her response was "well, it's spring break and we have many leisure travelers right now staying on our property".... not even a single word of apology...
