Will not recommend or stay here again

We were deeply disappointed in this stay at this hotel. It was very expensive and definitely not worth the money. The first night our air conditioner did not work and it was a debacle trying to check in. The guy at the front desk barely made eye contact. He tried to give us a dumpy room the first time then he tried to put us around the back of the property the second time and I finally asked for a specific room around the front and we were able to get that but what an ordeal to get a decently placed room. When the air conditioner went out during the night and we reported it the next day, the girl at the front desk could not be disturbed from her phone and kept telling us to go reset it. We finally insisted that they send a maintenance man out there. The maintenance man, Joe, was the only bright star in the whole ordeal. He was very friendly & efficient. He immediately got us a new unit. We stayed for two nights and after the first night, they did not even come to refresh our rooms. We had to go ask for towels, and the girl motioned where we could pick them up from and said just leave our dirty towels on the floor and they’ll get them the next day. we had to empty our own trash because they didn’t come refresh the room. For the amount of money we paid they could’ve at least done that. To add insult to injury there was a man checking in who had a rate to almost $100 a night less than ours. The only other good thing I can say is that the beds were pretty comfortable.

Perfect End to Our Maine Vacation

We were in Sullivan for the week at an Air bnb and we decided to end our trip with a night in Bar Harbor. We've stayed in this hotel twice before in previous years and it's been nicely renovated since. We love that it is dog friendly and within walking distance from downtown Bar Harbor restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The complimentary water, breakfast foods, and snacks were a nice plus. Everything was clean and the check-in/check-out was efficient. We were able to check into our hotel rooms early which was great because we were in the area in the early afternoon.

The staff at the front desk were welcoming and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location was what drew us into the hotel, walking distance to the center of bar harbor. Added bonus for us was it being pet friendly.

Great place to stay in bar harbor

Exceptional Hospitality at Seasider Motel in Bar Harbor! Our two families had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Seasider Motel in Bar Harbor, Maine, on July 20th and 21st, 2025. We booked two rooms for two nights, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality and care provided by the staff. After a long road trip from Florida, arriving late on our first night, we were warmly greeted by the night manager, Dustin. His exceptional hospitality and accommodating nature were a breath of fresh air after ten days of mixed hotel experiences. Dustin’s warmth and professionalism set the tone for a truly memorable stay. The motel itself, while older, is impeccably maintained. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and more than sufficient for our needs as we prepared for days of hiking in Acadia National Park. The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering a great selection of cereals, pastries, bars, coffee, and juice—perfect fuel for a day exploring the park. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the thoughtfulness of the hotel manager, Tim. On our first morning, Tim stopped by our rooms to personally welcome us and surprised our four kids with adorable mini stuffed Maine lobsters, complete with adoption certificates! The kids were thrilled, and as parents, we appreciated this delightful touch (no live lobsters or county fair goldfish moments here!). Tim’s friendliness extended beyond this gesture—he took the time to offer fantastic re

Just okay

Location was good for walking to the shops. Room was clean but beds and pillows were not good. Decent free breakfast of pastries, muffins and drinks, bonus for having Udi’s gluten free muffins. Staff was not the friendliest. Wouldn’t stay again.

Its a motel, so rooms pretty much as expected. Bed comfy but not much else. Bathroom on the smaller side. Its on a well traveled intersection and motorcycle / traffic noise is frequent into the night. Grab and go breakfast is not much other than a few pastries, coffee, and snack bars. Free waters were appreciated. Location is fine with 15 min casual walk to downtown restaurants, ice cream, shops.

Great place to stay.

Excellent place to stay. It was quiet and clean. It was great to see the dog every morning when my Bride went for breakfast and Olga was always pleasant when she greeted us. Highly recommend this establishment!

This motel was very clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. It’s located about 8-10 minutes walk from the beachfront, restaurant and shopping area. The only slight downside was the limited choice at the grab and go breakfast, but that wasn’t a big deal for our family. They have cereal, some fresh fruit, coffee, muffins. If you like a heavy hot breakfast, this might not work for you. Right next to a road. But we didn’t hear road noise at night.
