The hotel is located in a great area with plenty to see and do within walking distance. The staff is friendly and accommodating, which was a plus.
The fitness center was disappointing. most of the equipment was either broken or out of order. The machines that were available were outdated, extremely dirty, or both. The sauna room door was locked, and I can only assume it was also out of service. In the lobby restroom, the hand dryer was corroded, which was not a great first impression.
I also tried to eat at the hotel’s restaurant for lunch. My friend and I greeted the staff upon entering, then sat ourselves. Not long after, we were asked if we were dining in or “just hanging out,” which felt super odd and unwelcoming, especially in a restaurant setting.
Things didn’t improve much once I got to the room. The elevators were tiny, slow, creaky, and felt quite old. The hallways were extremely dim, which felt unsafe when entering or exiting late at night. There were no visible security measures in place to ensure that only guests could access the lobby. I witnessed several groups using the space to eat or hang out before leaving, which was concerning.
As for the room itself, it was underwhelming. The features were outdated, and the mini fridge barely worked. it couldn’t keep anything cold.
To make matters worse, the prices were exorbitant for the condition and overall experience provided.
Overall, the location and staff were the only positives.
