Subpar

The hotel has potential but it’s lacking in a few things. The front desk staff were great! The hotels appearance in the lobby is lacking. The elevators are SCARY! One is under construction and the other makes you feel like it’s your last ride. The hallways were fine but the room it’s self felt dirty and dated. The beds were practically on the floor and the mattresses are terrible full sized boxes. The bather lacked amenities that are basic and included in other chains like Hilton.

Hotel needs to focus on the details

Elevator still out for over a week so wait times were longer since we were on top floor. Bed framing was ripped and pieces falling off. Chair arm was filthy and stained so we covered it with bathroom towel and we killed two fuzzy spiders running around in the bathroom. View was beautiful though

Birthday Week Stay!

The room was clean. The view of the lake was awesome! Having a walking trail next to the lake was great as well! Having only one elevator working was a minor annoyance.
Morning coffee in the room with a sunrise on the lake.
Just a wonderful view from the room.

Pretty lake views. Book for the lake, not the pool

The hotel is pretty and right on the lake. Good walking distance to restaurants & shops in downtown Geneva. The pool is very tiny; at first sight it was mistaken as a hot tub. Service at the restaurant was slow, I'd recommend walking to a nearby restaurant. We were excited to see a washer & dryer on the 2nd floor, but the washer wasn't working.

We really liked everything other than the fact that we arrived from another state, arrived early. Had to pay $30. I literally put our luggage in the room and went on the wine trail. I don't know why you would charge a fee, since the room is reserved and empty.

The bathroom had not been deep cleaned in a LONG time... Yes, the pictures look nice, but once you get in your room... Not so much. The mattress was like being in a Motel 6, in fact, their mattresses are likely better!

If you like spiders stay here

Maybe I hit an off time, but it was July on lake Seneca and race weekend (ironman race) so they knew it would be busy. Overall the hotel is ok. I travel a lot so have a good sense of expectations. This place just continued to disappoint and disgust me. During my stay I have found 5 spiders in the room...I check out tomorrow so that count likely will go up. There was a beautiful spider web on the door jam of our door when we returned last night...This door is inside. One of my pillow cases was soiled - dirt. I am worried if they actually put clean sheets on my beds. So I give cleanliness a 2 out of a scale from 1-10. Maid service is by request and stated that you can request but they might not be to help. Layout of the room makes no sense. There's this long bench that really doesn't make sense under the TV. There's no closet, no actual bureau to put things in. I had to use the night stand drawers for my clothes and my husband used the microwave stand drawers for his. There's no safe in the room. No area to sit and have something to eat, yet there's a refrigerator and microwave so I think that's the intent that you could eat in the room. This is a pet friendly hotel and the weekend we were here the hotel was sold out due to the race. There were many large dogs and owners that aren't good at controlling them. There are 2 elevators, but one was out of order when we arrived in Thursday. It still is and the one operating makes scary, loud clunking noises. Don't stay here

Great location in need of a refresh

First, the staff was amazing. They were friendly, helpful and informative. The grounds are nice and the location is great…easy to walk to town with lots of places to eat and shop. The room was spacious and the view would have been great if you could see through the bug crusted windows. They were in the process of getting the windows washed, but unfortunately our room was not done in the 3 days we were there. The hotel does need a refresh. Tables in the corridor are chipped, bath spout was not secured to the wall and the shower/tub switch was not working. One elevator has not been working for over a year which makes the elevator waits very long. I understand not changing the linens daily, but no one to make the bed, take out trash and refresh the coffee items is not acceptable. I don’t want to be doing that on my vacation and at that price point.
