We booked the Crowne Plaza for two simple reasons -- close, and had a double bed available (we were landing at Midnight on an overnight layover from Europe). When we got there, they said the double beds were sold out. I explained that I paid more for that room. They said it was Hotels.com's fault, not theirs. I said, regardless, I need a place to stay. After discussing with the manager, the front desk said they would give me two king rooms -- which I thought was great, doing the right thing. Until they doubled the charge and said I would have to pay double. Stuck, I accepted. We got up to the separate rooms (not connected) and the bed looked like someone was in the room -- hairs all over the sheets, dirty towel on the floor. I decided to roll with the punches. Then at 1:30 am, housekeeping knocked on my door asking why I was in there. I said it was my room. What a mess. Also, breakfast came with the reservation -- they denied that. Awful manager who clearly doesn't give two S about the customers.
