This is a family run business. It is a small and quaint traditional Caribbean hotel. The staff are very friendly and there is great beach access. The food at both the beach bar and on site restaurant are very good. I would however skip the free breakfast and order off the menu. If you are looking for a fancy hotel, this is not the place. If you are looking for an authentic Caribbean well run hotel with friendly staff and a beautiful beach, this is the place.

Decent place to rest your head. Hotel rooms are not updated as expected, however walking into the room and finding a fly jumping around the bed, an army of ants lining the toilet, termites leaving wood shavings on the bathroom countertop, and a worm in the shower....fell short of expectations for a $200+ per night charge. Driving in there was alot of uncetainty where the hotel entrance and parking was...I also visited front desk for an extra towel and was asked questions as if this is a huge issue to get an extra towel (this also took 15 minutes - where they retreived a towel from an empty hotel room). Air-condition remote did not function well but once we spent 15 minutes getting it to temperature it was a nice cold night. I did not try the on-site restaurants. The heavy rainfall on the galvanized roof was the highlight for me. But great location on the lovely Rendevouz beach.

The beach is gorgeous with plenty of lounge chairs, some umbrellas and also shade from palm trees. Beach bar is a bonus. On site restaurant made delicious dinner foods. The room, although outdated, was clean with a comfortable bed, AC, and midi size refrigerator. Staff was accommodating and supplied daily housekeeping and plenty of towels.

Sometimes the people make the place. Serena took a hiccup in our reservation and made it all work out in a way that made our stay even better. The units are basic in that it is your standard room with nothing fancy. However, you walk out the door to one of the most beautiful beaches with a small restaurant serving tasty food and drink. First let me say that Great House is not the Four Seasons. Or even the Three Seasons. But if you aren’t a snob and just baby to enjoy a beautiful beach, be served by wonderful people, sleep in a clean room and have foot access to 4 beach bars this is your place. You come here for the beach and that's great. Things were clean but a little rundown. The food situation isn't great. The free continental breakfast is very bad, but you can order eggs or pancakes for a fee. The menu at the Old Caribe for dinner is very limited. There are almost no other restaurants or food stores within walking distance so you should budget for either a rental car or taxis. But it's an affordable way to get access to a truly great beach. The staff is kind and helpful.
