Use the valet for your luggage unless you want to carry your bags up and down at least four normal flights of stairs on the way to the elevators. The food in the restaurant was rather bland. The breakfast is pricey at 500 pesos per person. Otherwise, the hotel is great, well-located, and staff is helpful. The standard room is a bit cramped.

The hotel and personel were outstanding. The problem was the unrully kids that invaded our floor until after midnight screaming and running through the halls after numerous calls over a two day period they tried to contain the kids. Not much was done we'll check next time before we book.

It was about a 20 minute walk to the Cathedral, and many shops and restaurants. Shopping centers in front and back of hotel. I drove from Cancun and getting to the hotel was a little tricky. The colonial buildings and houses were amazing in downtown centro Merida overall it was wonderful, also drove to Progresso which was only about 45 minutes away, wonderful beach and food.

One of the best options in Merida. Close to Paseo Montejo and various touristic attractions. Service from Victor, Enrique, Angel and excellent Chefs Alam and Silvano at Peregrina and Lounge Club at 17th floor made the difference. Although there was some A/C issue at my room the front desk staff worked diligently and solve the issue and offer another room. Worth the money.

Very courteous and helpful staff. The rooms are big and kept ultra clean. The overall quality of the property is excellent. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the Italian restaurant in the hotel is also very good. They have a nice swimming pool, walking distance for shopping, and plenty of other food options within walking distance are available. The area is very safe and family friendly. I highly recommend the Hyatt hotel.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. The hotel location is excellent. The room decor lacks soul, so you could be anywhere in the US in 1970. That said, my dining experiences were delightful and varied — from brunch to poolside nachos to room service to elegant Italian. I would return in a heartbeat. I felt safe and comfortable.

Worst EXPERIENCE ever

I have traveled the world for the past 40 years, I have stayed at youth to 5 stars hotels and this experience at the Hyatt Regency in Merida Mexico was the most horrible travel nightmare I’ve ever encountered. We were thrown out of the hotel due to a employee strike a 280 room hotel, and I did not find accommodations to stay for my god Childs wedding‘s and I had to travel back home.
