Elevator was broken and apparently has been for weeks. Hotel is run down and needs a lot of maintenance. We had to change rooms because the air conditioner was so loud. The breakfast was decent, and the staff seemed nice. However, we would not stay here again.

The room itself was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was not great but ok. The hotel itself is not being maintained. The elevator was not working so we had to take the stairs. This wasn’t a problem but it seemed to fit the lack of overall care for the facility. The carpets on the stairs and the hallways are very worn with stains and imbedded dirt that creates an unpleasant smell. It seemed that the cost we paid did not match the quality of the hotel. We would not choose to stay here again.

Upon check-in, I was given a piece of paper stating rooms will be cleaned and linens changed every 3 days. I was there 6 days. The sheets were never changed. The elevator was out of order the whole time I was there. The shower head in the bath had green mold around all of the nozzle jets. The ceiling in the room has pieces missing out of the skip trowel. Pretty second rate all around.

Front desk attendant was not friendly at all - acted as though we were inconveniencing her. Floor and carpet were dirty. Based on this, we decided not to take a chance on eating the breakfast for either of the two mornings during our stay. Front desk told us that there would be no cleaning of our room during our stay and that the maid would give us clean towels - which were never offered.

My wife and I were extremely disappointed with our stay from the moment we walked in for check-in to the moment we left. Upon approaching the front desk, I noticed the employee was watching a video on her phone and a nearby maintenance worker had to alert her to my presence as she was not paying attention. She begun my check-in process, which included additional charges for early check-in and a pet fee (which we were aware of) but she charged them to a different guest with the same last name. I alerted her to the error and she made the correction and provided me with a receipt for the refund to my credit card. However the provided receipt included all the contact information for the other guest (i.e., name, email, and phone number) which made me question the security of my personal information. As for the conditions of the room, we were immediately greeted by a strong mildew odor and my wife noticed live, small cockroaches in the mini fridge. We weren’t able to put food inside the fridge that we had brought from home. After inspecting the rest of the room, we discovered more roaches in the bathroom and crawling around on various pieces of furniture. Surprisingly, the bed was moderately comfortable and appeared to be clean. Ultimately, after an uneasy night, we decided to check-out a day earlier and cut our trip short. Happy to provide pictures / videos of the roaches if requested. This visit has made us question if we’ll choose another La Quinta property in the future.
