Great Vacation in Paradise!

This hotel has an amazing view of the Ocean. The one thing I would recommend is a change in the dinner menu. Even if they simply prepared a special dinner each night for the guest that is completely different from the main menu. That would keep a lot of guests staying and letting friends know about this facility. The only problem we had was the power and water in Tower 1. They did move it’s to a different room after a few days which helped greatly. Overall it is a very friendly hotel and many people willing to help with anything.

Melia was magnificent

We had the ocean view jr suite and it was amazing! Clean rooms, amazing staff, good food- and the childcare was the absolute best. Every day we were there my 6yr old daughter just wanted to go hang out with the ladies running all the activities! We felt safe and welcome throughout the entire facility, and the free nightly shows were always a hit with the family! this was the last of 3 places we stayed over 2 weeks and this was by far the best!!!

Amazing experience! Great service everywhere. Lots of activities, food, drinks. Exceptional service throughout and especially Guitron and Isreal in the pool bar, Mosies in Fish House restaurant. Other names I should mention here. Really highly recommended.

We spent a week January 18-January 25 in this beautiful hotel Melia in Puerto Vallarta. It is such a great place to spend time with the family ( we travelled with 2 kids: 2.5 and 4.5) so quite and relaxed. Very clean facilities and amazing choices for food, loved the entertainment both for kids and adults! The Stuff was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating all the needs. As much as we liked the iguanas, i think the chairs next to the pool under the huge tree, should be removed, as we witnessed few times those large iguanas fell down from the tree directly under, luckily there was noone at the time in the chair.

The rooms are dingy and sparse. I was supposed to have a garden view but it was blocked by trees. Beds are only okay. The shower didn't drain properly and I was standing in six inches of water that had brown scum in it. My friends said the same thing about their showers. Some of the food was good but the majority was inedible. The 2 restaurants were good but if you didn't have reservations your only option is the buffet. The only good thing at the buffet was the pasta bar. The first day I was there I stepped out of the pool and took a hard fall when my foot flew out from underneath me when I stepped onto the red terracotta tiles. When I fell, some of the guests told me that those tiles are very slippery. Why in the world would there be slippery tiles around a pool! The hotel sent me to their hotel Dr which turned out to be a young lady that asked me a few questions and prescribed an anti-imflamatory which made me extremely nauseated and very dizzy. I sprained my knee, sprained my hips, and broke a toe. I spent 3 days of my vacation in my room. I had asked for some ice and they brought me one bag that leaked. I was told that they would call to see how I was doing and if I needed anything, which didn't happen.The restaurants don't allow any food to be taken out so my friends couldn't bring me anything to eat while I was in my room. The men that I reported my fall to saw me limping through the rest of my vacation and totally ignored me. I am very disappointed with the hotel!

I would go back to this resort we had 7 days and loved it Great friendly efficient staff and always cleaning the floors etc…grounds for very well kept working in the heat keeping them beautiful … food was ok we tried a lot of different Mexican food that we never had before living in Canada. Very good front desk staff as well friendly and knowledgeable! This resort is well worth it Great Value!

The friendliness and service of the staff was outstanding. While the building and facilities are a little dated, it had everything you need and the staff and location of the hotel at this price point make it a fantastic choice.

Second time staying here, but 10 years apart. Of course, they need some renovations but the staff and the cleanliness was to be appreciated. They also really accommodated us so my toddler could have a nap before we left. The nightly entertainment was great too. The bad - the food is barely tolerable. The only restaurant that was good was the Fish House. For the snack bar, they advertise a pizza oven but joke is on us, they use a thin tortilla/already made pizza base. What a waste of an oven.. The guac, queso, even beans taste horrible. It really was too bad. At the Mole restaurant, they asked us if we`re okay about 30 times and then asked for good review... Resort is 10 min from the airport, which is incredible, but we unfortunately cannot come back.

Beautiful resort. Very clean, staff in every department were wonderful. Only negative was the food. Only 2 restaurants other than buffet. Food there was average. Same menu everyday. We were there for 2 weeks. Need more selection and choices

Beautiful resort. Staff were amazing. Location is great, close to airport and marina. Xavier at the info desk was a class act. Ty for makimg Mom's 80th birthday dream come true, oceanfront room. Whales galore!!!!
