Hôtel agréable toutefois…

L’hôtel est plutôt bien situé (25 min à pied de la ville), la literie est confortable et le réceptionniste est vraiment très gentil et professionnel. Il a été génial tout au long de notre séjour. Toutefois, le ménage n’est pas fait dans tous les recoins, l’hôtel mériterai également un petit coup de renouveau. De plus, malgré un grand balcon pour profiter de la vue, il n’y avait aucune chaise pour s’y installer. C’est vraiment dommage. Nous avons malgré tout passé un bon séjour.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Modern rooms and communal areas. We were able to check in and go to our room at 9am which was a lovely touch, and we had an early bus out so they had packed up a breakfast for us too! Would highly recommend

Foram dias maravilhosos. O hotel é extremamente cuidado, tudo novo. A Cama é muito confortável, banheiro grande, ducha excelente. A localização é boa. Em 30 minutos de caminhada está no centro de Porto. Excelente atendimento dos funcionários. A recepção funciona até às 15h. Não tem estacionamento, mas existem vagas nas ruas ou em estacionamento privados. Com certeza voltaríamos nesse hotel.

The staff especially Philip and Raquel were amazing. The only thing that let the hotel down was the breakfast which was not as shown on the hotel website, ie a buffet. I was informed that the buffet had been withdrawn very recently and replaced with a paper bag containing a paltry carton of fruit juice, an apple and tiny custard tart , a bottle of water and literally the smallest roll I’ve ever seen! It was like a button !! I asked for more food as my partner is diabetic and that was embarrassing. I mentioned all of this in the hotel website review option stating that a hotel which called itself a boutique four star establishment should be ashamed at how they had let themselves down by such a mean spirited and frankly mean display of cost cutting at its worst. My partner and I returned for a final night at the end of our holiday to find that the paper bags has been replaced by little baskets with two rolls instead of one which is a step in the right direction! They need to bring back the buffet breakfast immediately! Again Philip on reception was amazing and made a special effort to get our room ready early … give that man a pay rise!

Not only did we not get the requested early check in, but our apartment was not ready at the standard check in time of 3:00pm and we had to wait another hour for it to be made ready. The front desk staff leaves at 3:30, which is baffling to me when checkin isn’t until 3:00. Other than the codes to access our apartment, we received no instruction about the apartment and had to figure it all out on our own. There is no elevator/lift and our apartment was on the 3rd floor. There were 3 of us with large luggage. The front desk agent did arrange to have our luggage put into the apartment while we were waiting for it to be made ready, but there was no help with luggage when we checked out. The apartment itself was fine though no closet or hooks downstairs to hang coats and umbrellas (it rained a lot) a few well placed wall hooks or coat rack would have been nice. Bathrooms were nice and well maintained, again a few hooks to hang wet towels are needed. Can’t comment on the kitchen or how well it was stocked, because we did not cook. The neighborhood was OK, not much around but a small shopping area about a 10 min. walk. We ate at a very good Italian Bistro, “Mama Mia” that was in the shopping area.

This property was not as advertised. We arrived at 5:00 pm and there was no staff on site. We finally got hold of someone on the phone who told us that staff leaves at 3:30. A fire alarm went off in the middle of the night requiring a visit from the fire department and no staff person was there. No airport shuttle as advertised. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable.
