Great hotel. Great location

I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites near the Galleria in Houston and had a fantastic experience. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a busy day. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the Galleria, which made shopping trips super convenient. One of the highlights of our stay was the bar and breakfast area. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with a wide variety of options, and the bar in the evening offered a great place to unwind. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay in Houston!

Disappointing

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We arrived around 10 PM after a long day, only to find that the room was not made up or cleaned. The bed was unmade, there were dirty towels on the floor, and the overall state of the room was just unacceptable. When I approached the front desk to address the issue, the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, they seemed annoyed by my concerns

NEVER AGAIN!

The worst customer service ever experienced. This hotel does not honor reservations made through third parties leaving my family of 5 without a room. Our double room was given away before we arrived. We were given a king room and told to have one of our children sleep on the floor. This room did not have bedding for the sofa bed and took over an hour to get bedding. We were told this night would be comped and it was not. The breakfast buffet is poor at best. The food is never refilled in the morning resulting in my family missing breakfast. This hotel needs some upgrades. The headboards are missing vinyl and the lamps are damaged. There was no toilet paper in the women's bathroom downstairs the entire stay. The bartender was the only bright spot in our stay at this Embassy Suites. We only stay at Embassy Suites so this whole experience was a disappointment. Matthew at the front desk was a total jerk. He refused to let us speak to a manager. Their front desk is understaffed greatly. We weren't the only guests without a room either.

Not what I remembered

I remember staying at Embassy Suites on family vacations when I was younger. It was a treat for us to stay at an Embassy. The breakfasts, back then, were amazing. Buffet style, fresh fruit and veggies, delicious food. Returning now, the hotel looks the same as back in the 90s when I traveled as a kid. The hotel has not gone through much updating. The breakfast had also changed. Yes, they still had an omelette station but the rest of the breakfast area looked like a La Quinta continental breakfast.

Room needed upkeep

Lobby and dining area was wonderful but the room itself was lacking maintenance. Walls needed repainting, bathroom grout moldy, and the wood on the headboards of both beds had deep discolored grooves (deep scuffed looked almost like someone tried to carve in the wood), and the desk chair was even missing one wheel so sat crooked.

Great staff but needs furniture upgrades.

The staff was great even helped me out with using digital key. The Embassy used to be a great luxury hotel but it seems this hotel hasn’t been considered for renovation upgrades. The sofa still looks like 1980’s and the queen is more like a full size bed; head board was peeling off the leather covering. The bath room faucet was loose but it worked. The family still enjoyed our get away. The breakfast was great order made omelette’s and cooks were very quick, definitely deserved a good tip! The price for the stay at this hotel should probably be lower until they modernize it to fit the location.
