Comfy bed, cool air con, nice pool & restaurant dining

Also gut 40 Jahre alt!

Hotel is starting to show its age. However rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. Restaurant was a real highlight with excellent food.

Great location. Best possible service, considering remoteness. Impact (of remoteness) mostly felt on the quality of meals (à la carte or bar - did not try buffet). I guess one does not go to Kakadu to eat out; so, in these conditions it is often best to keep it simple and make it good. :-)

A sad, and tired looking motel that has old bathrooms with a shower over bath, covered in limescale. Terribly uncomfortable bed. The restaurant, the only one open in Jaibaru, is highly priced, but expects you to sit on outdoor metal chairs. Stay in Cooinda which has better facilities.

Helpful staff and the room was always clean. Also close proximity to most beautiful hikes.

After a day out in the heat the hotels pool was great for an afternoon refresh. We enjoyed the quality food in the restaurant of an evening and the air conditioner together with a separate dehumidifer made time in the room comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay here - the beds were super comfortable and the evening food in the restaurant was great. The bathroom could do with an upgrade but otherwise would recommend this as a great place to stay in kakadu.

Room was spacious and comfortable, all good except the fridge was missing it's freezer door and door racks. What wasn't good was the hotel's lack of preparedness when the power went out for more than 2 hours at dinner time. There were a few emergency lights in the restaurant for the benefit of those lucky enough to have already started their dinner, but otherwise we only saw one light at the top of some stairs. No other lighting throughout the property, and the restaurant and bar (apparently the only ones in town) completely stopped all service. Perhaps they resumed service when the power was restored, but by then it was too late for us. Given the high rates here we expected they would have at least a small backup generator or battery. And speaking of rates - since when does a room rate which becomes non refundable 3 weeks before check in constitute a "flexible rate"?...
