No clock in room. Requested wake up call for 1:30 am as a backup to my phone. Did not get a wake up call. Smoke break was more important. I requested a receipt but none was emailed to me. The name was different....Spark instead of Hampton Inn as listed and I drove past a few times. Must be renovating as various areas had primer paint. DEFINITELY NOT worth the room rate!!

No longer Hampton, now Spark :(

This hotel is advertised as a Hampton but it is now called SPARK. Not the same amenities or service that I came to know: no great breakfast, hot tub out of service, no coffee in the room, couldn’t find the place cuz of rebranding, jus overall a terrible experience.

Sleepless and Gaslit

The room itself was fine, but the employees who used the maintenance door next to it would constantly slam the door closed. 4am bang, 4:20 bang, 4:30 BANG. We called the front desk and were told it was the desk employee himself making the banging and he would be more careful. 30 minutes later BANG, another slamming door. When I went to talk to the front desk after breakfast. The manager who was not there for the middle of the night disturbances tried to tell me the thuds could not have been too loud. I then replicated the slamming sound by hitting my palm on the counter. I was then told that such a loud noise was inappropriate for me to make at the front desk. The fact his employees were making it all night, that was fine. I was then called aggressive, threatened with police action and kicked out of the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. The staff will keep you up all night with extremely loud noises and then try to gas light you in the morning saying it did not happen.

One night stay in SLC at Spark, a Hilton property

The hotel is under construction and is now called Spark, a Hilton brand. The furniture and decor is kind of hip but more Ikeas like. The room was clean but there is a construction smell in the hallways. There was basically no breakfast. Cold sugar cereals, bagels, small yogurts which we skipped. We went next door to a cute restaurant called Dee's and had a great breakfast. Hopefully they'll be done with construction soon.

Remodel chaos

We had a difficult time finding the hotel because it did not say Hampton it said Spark. Apparently Hampton is in the process of remodeling so much of the hotel was inaccessible. Somehow this was not mentioned in the listing. The advertised breakfast was unavailable. The check in desk wasn’t open. It was just a closet sized room with a window. We had trouble accessing the WiFi.

booked via third party; the fact that the hotel was under renovation was made clear. No pool, no hot tub, no hot breakfast. Same price. However, the room was excellent and there's a nice little cafe right across the parking lot.

The hotel was a mess. It was being changed to a different name - spark. No pool, hot tub, breakfast buffet.etc At check-in the clerk was inappropriate and stated an email was sent with all that info. I pulled up all correspondence and showed her that was not the case however, she still insisted she was correct. Television didn’t work. Bathroom door didn’t stay closed - when it was bought to her attn. She insisted a wash cloth be used to keep the door closed. The stay was a huge disappointment.

Change to a new brand

It’s currently transitioning to the new Spark brand, so breakfast service and kitchen options are very limited. We would have chosen a different place had we known. On the plus side, the staff are friendly, which makes a difference. It got confused when we arrived there
