Pretty bad

My wife and I stayed here for a funeral service and were not too impressed. This was was wore out. Rough looking carpet, paper thin blankets, dated fixtures, only one TV channel, coffee maker smelled, and shower curtain smelled musty. Our mountain view was cut off by a big concrete building. Breakfast was two kinds off cereal, waffles, and pieces of white bread. That's all. No juice, no fruit, no bagels or pastries. To top off our trip I accidentally left my $200 Benchmade pocket knife in our room. I called back several times and they were never able to find where my knife went.

This IS an EconoLodge.

This is/was a EconoLodge. Previously and recently purchased by Days Inn. It's an EconoLodge, through and through. It's pretty dirty, people smoking all around the property, methheads walking through the parking lot. All the things you'd expect. The cover photo is NOT the motel. It's FROM the motel. Be warned.

Breakfast was consisted of cold cereal (frosted flakes or captain crunch), toast, waffles, and coffee. Not much enthusiasm from the staff. I guess this is what can be expected for the rates.

The room was not cleaned properly, there was empty alcohol containers from previous renters. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful but the fact that there was trash left leaves me to wonder if everything was cleaned.

Avoid at all costs!

I stay here only out of necessity because of snowy weather. The mattresses need to be replaced. The mattresses have sunken in areas that make the bed uncomfortable. The drainage in the showers is horrible. Nothing like standing in water while you are getting clean. They have extension cords hanging out windows. The screens that should be on the windows in the alleyway are usually off. They let homeless people stay in the rooms when the weather is bad. The last time I stayed there was a crack pipe in the sink drain.

It was not clean at all, the " Acting Mgr" was very Rude to my wife when she asked for Clean towels, door handles were broken, no clean bathroom, no clean sheets on the bed, lots of sand and dirt all over the floor.

I rented a room, when I got in the room the door the window was open seeing suspicious to me but I'm tired I just came in from Atlanta. So I'm sitting there I dropped my phone behind the dresser Lord behold there was a crack pipe and crack in my room. I contacted the front desk people there was very rude they would actually was accusing me of the crack pipe basically so no I would never recommend anything such as that place because either the workers in there smoking crack because there was crack pipes and crack in my room where I slept where cause me to feel uncomfortable so I had to leave my room before my time was up and the manager thought nothing about it and didn't care.

This was a motel that seemed lacking. Maybe because it is off season. Breakfast was lacking (told this when we checked in). No butter cream cheese or anything to put on toast Waffles and cereal was the extent of breakfast

I booked this hotel because I was going to the Royal gorge train station with my 6-year-old daughter for a Santa ride. It was literally across the street. The location could not have been better. We had an excellent experience here. When we went to our room on the first floor and set our bags down and sat for a second, we realized our neighbors were very very noisy. I went to the front desk and he immediately moved us upstairs to a quiet room. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back

The walls are paper thin. The couple next door were yelling and fighting all night long until 430 am, with a child in the room. I did not get any sleep! All the metal faucets,etc were rusty and dirty. The hallway carpets were stained, dirty and smell. The room forniture was broken, had holes and smelled. The front night staff that checked me in tried to bargain on the room price until i finally got sick of it and used Expedia. I am a local Canon City resident and i do not think our guest for this city should have to go through that. OMG! The outside was very unkept, unpainted what look like for years. As a local city resident, i would not recommend the Econo lodge to anyone, for embarrassment. I am ashamed to say this is our Local Econo Lodge. Very Sad experience!

What you pay for

Hotel used to be decent, but has really fallen into disrepair. Door knob fell off bathroom door. No coffee in lobby no cups in room, coffee pot in room didn't work. Room was clean, but not comfortable.

The room was neat, but the bed weirdly sloped a bit, so I just slept diagonally on it and it was comfortable. The room had a fridge and microwave, and it has a pool ! And it was just one block off of Main St for dining and shopping. It’s right across the street from the Riverwalk too. And it was quiet. Great room for a great price.
