Everything was lovely. I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. The buffet breakfast was excellent- not your standard buffet.

Nice place to stay as expected.
David, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Good experience staying in this historic political hotel close to the Prime Minister’s Lodge and across the street from the Chinese Embassy. This hotel reminds me of an ocean liner - long and narrow with lots of rooms on the sides. Not the best Park Hyatt in the world but this hotel used to be called Hotel Canberra and has hosted many politicians over the years. An “iconic” Australian Canberra hotel.

Amazing hotel
Mil, 2-night trip

4/10 Poor

The entrance and foyer are stunning! The room smelt musty and there were quite a few broken things - the shower, the kettle, the magnifying mirror and the phone. The staff were nice - they organised a taxi for us and brought extra towels when the shower flooded the bathroom. Overall needs. Refresh and some up keep.
Mandy, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Canberra Hyatt

Beautiful hotel and setting
Sarah, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Amazing property, retro-chic heritage site, yet still updated amenities and updated rooms. Staff are super helpful. Price is slightly above a budget option but the hotel is absolutely luxurious so totally worth it.
Ahmad, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

It is a great place to stay with good in-house dining options and a couple of bars. The pool and gym centre was very good. Parking options were a little haphazard but the rest of the experience was great.
Richard, 3-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Bad services....not Twin bads ....
Valentina, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Glorious old Hotel Canberra that has been remade into a Park Hyatt with hollow walls and ocean liner feel (long and narrow with rooms on the sides). An iconic political hotel that now calls its Scottish fillet by its American name, ribeye. Owned by America and reflective of contemporary Australia as a willing proxy. Great location near the Prime Minister’s “The Lodge” as well as the Chinese Embassy right across the street. The not best Park Hyatt in the world but a very good hotel. Kudos to the excellent staff. Swimming pool was hot and hot tub was small. Is that artificial grass in the courtyards?
Courtyards with artificial grass
Seems like an ocean liner, long and narrow.
Not a Scottish fillet. Call me a ribeye. $70 Australian dollars.
Kevin, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

We stayed at the hotel for the balloon festival & were impressed with its calmness & style dating back to a bygone age.
Karen, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was larger than it appeared in the photos, and very quiet. We loved the architecture of the building, the professional and attentive staff, and the proximity to the lake and gardens. We look forward to staying here again.
Daryl, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The staff were exemplary and helpful. First time at a Hyatt and definitely lived up to expectations.
Kai, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

A lovely hotel. Sadly, let down by the cold air conditioning and limited dining options. We’ll only stay there again when the weather warms up. The (indoor) public areas are way too cold at this time of year.
