We were only there for a few hours and ultimately it served its purpose - to sleep. We got in around 11:30 and easily found the front desk. The attendant was very nice and gave directions on how to get to our room by drawing it on a map. The property was slightly confusing, however, found our way. I assumed where it was an inn, it would be one building but then discovered it was a motor court. We entered the room which was decorated all in one print, so it was difficult to find a few light switches and it was kept very hot - about 72 when we got in. It’s certainly older, which was expected due to the cost, name, location, etc. we laughed at the photo of what we called “George Washington’s ghost child” on the wall. Did have a working tv and had a great nights sleep. The beds were nicely made and clean, all I was really intending for honestly. I did try to shower, however, the water came out rusty and I decided against it. There is a Bake Shoppe which had a large variety and guests who stayed got their choice of certain baked goods complimentary. They could specify which goods are up front so you aren’t disappointed. My 12 year old didn’t think he would like any of them, however, regretted not getting more because everything was delicious. We walked around and looked at the main building which is used for events and has some neat old memorabilia. As I said, it served its purpose, which was getting sleep and avoiding driving three hours home at 11 pm.
