This was a grwat place to meet family. We had adjoining rooms and stayed with our dogs. Everything was perfect for them. It would be great to have a refrigerator in every room. We had one for the two rooms.

Quick and easy check-in. Friendly and polite service. Clean rooms with comfortable accommodations. Perfect place to stay with a pet. Ate in the tavern which was a mistake for a Friday night. If you're looking for a party, it is the place to be. We should have gone to the dining room. The food was delicious. Overall, it was a clean, comfortable place to stay.

I have stayed here several times. The staff is awesome, the grounds are clean and the amenities are convenient. Well I really like this place and I will definitely stay there again, next time I will ask to be placed as far away from the people with pets as possible. While I understand that is not the hotel's fault, the huge dog in the room next to us barked, very loudly throughout my stay, it was very unpleasant.

Facility excellent, restaurant superb, and awesome bakery with coffee in the morning. Our room up on the hill was musky, and needed an update, but beds were very comfortable.

Great place to stay. Our room was spacious and was quiet. Easy parking. Clean and upgraded. Good breakfast. And we had a great dinner at the same place. We did not expect the following but just to be clear there is No fridge, no microwave and no coffee maker in the room.

First, this place is beautiful but kinda spooky. The room was gorgeous (spooky) but minimally furnished with end tables, chair, dresser, and bed. No desk or table if you’re planning to work while you’re there. They were a little bit… too blasé? about directions to the rooms and their instructions were rattled off a little too quickly to easily follow if you’re brain drained from driving a long time. I got there too late on a Sunday evening to eat at one of the restaurants so I ordered door dash. The dasher refused to come into the building (spooky?) so I had to go down and back up the stairs to get it. The order came with no utensils so I thought no problem, it’s a hotel, I’ll call down and ask for silverware. They were short staffed and I was told it’d be 15-20 minutes before they could bring me one. I was tired and not keen for a fourth trip up and down the stairs, so I waited. And waited. And no fork arrived. Too tired to raise a fuss or go looking for one, I used one of the plastic cups in the room as a utensil. The bed and bedding were comfy and I slept fine, nothing spooky happened. But unfortunately the room didn’t really fulfill my expectations and if I consider staying here again I will review the room descriptions carefully.

Very unique property. Stayed at the main hotel which is the original property from 1771 (with some additions in the 1800's). The property is very well maintained for its age & configuration, and most importantly the room was very comfortable.

The property is absolutely stunning overall, from the outside and grounds, but it needs updating. It seems the last renovations were done in the 1970s and the contractor lacked a level, square or plum line and possibly a measuring tape.
