Great staff, easy check in, great location. Very easy walk to the beach. We got there early, our room wasn't ready so we walked across the street and borrowed two bikes from the sister hotel. Rode the bikes along the beach until it was time to check in. We had the junior suite and it's pretty much a full apartment. Happy hour is a sweet touch.

Really like this hotel and have stayed there a few times. Friendly and attentive staff. Free parking, WiFi, continental breakfast and use of bicycles. A nice little gem in Santa Barbara that's close to the beach and downtown.

So-so stay @ Lavender. Positives: Price, location and convenience to the highways. That and the staff were friendly. Negatives: Tiny indoor breakfast area with dull and lackluster continental items. Coffee tasted like charred plastic cups.

Don’t believe positive reviews! We regretted staying there. Dated, motel-style architecture and furniture. Located on a busy street, hence sleeping with open windows was not an option. But the worst part, my husband was bitten by bed bugs. Advise to staff: don’t recommend your guests taking West Montecito street walking to downtown!

I arrived at 0:30 in the morning after a five-hour drive and the front desk person refused to honor the reservation, check me in, or give me a room because of a computer issue. He did not offer to help in any way, despite two phone calls from Hotels.com to try to sort things out for me. He did not offer to call other hotels for me, did not consider giving me a room in return for holding my drivers license and credit card as a deposit and basically kicked me out and told me to go find another hotel, which I did after an hour of driving around and trying many other hotels. Please avoid this hotel at all cost. Honoring a late-night reservation is one of the most important things a hotel needs to get right. I was tired and making me drive around aimlessly for another hour at 12:30am in an unknown city is cruel and unsafe. I have been traveling regularly for more than 30 years and have never been treated as badly as at this hotel.

Front desk staff were friendly. Check in and check out was prompt. Rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the sitting area, kitchen and patio in the back of our room. We also appreciated the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine that was left in the refrigerator.
