Everything was fine and as stated on the website. Didn't see anybody else the whole time. Clean and tidy, nice little kitchen area.

The room was clean and cozy. Location was ideal for walking to dining options and Mission Theater. Accommodation included breakfast but could not find where it was located in the building. We never saw another guest or staff our entire stay. Would stay here again!

2/10 Poor

This place is a scam, the room was smaller than a shoe box, no amenities and a shared bathroom. I should have did more research before booking. Horrible

I liked this property for me, but the stairs would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast is extremely limited, so be prepared to provide your own unless very simple cereal and milk is enough. Work was going on in the breakfast room, which they were very kind and apologetic about, but really should have been scheduled to be done after "breakfast" hours, no? Like starting at noon and not before? At least 11 am? Room was comfortable and clean, and the hosts are lovely. I felt, though, that there were so many do's and don'ts everywhere - "do not attempt to enter the room before 2 pm" and "do not ever park..." etc. I was really worried about making a mistake as a result, which wasn't as relaxed as I would have preferred. Again, the hosts were extremely kind in person, but the posted notices everywhere felt like a Boarding House, not as much like a "Guest" House. I love old houses and that's why I chose this one. But without any central living room or entry area, it's not as homey as I would have liked. Super close to Trader Joe's and lots and lots of really cute shops, bakeries, restaurants, bars, tea and coffee places that are obviously up and coming, but there are so many desperate and homeless folks in the neighborhood that it left me feeling very sad & mixed. Walkable to the famous bookstore and even to the beautiful Washington Park (if you don't mind uphill for that one) but only .9 miles from each. Just some heads-ups here. it was a very nice experience.

Thoughtful provisioning, comfortable bed, and not too hot on the third floor after a day in the high 80’s.

Spazio in comune eccezionale, qualità prezzo ottima!

6/10 Good

This is a hostel. Not an inn.

Breakfast is not included. I put this first cause you don’t even get a cup of coffee. This is more of a glorified hostel attached to a pretty house. It is not an “Inn.” The breakfast was literally Cheerios and corn flakes. The room was hot but there was a portable A/C so plus. Old furnishings and tough bed. Bathroom was great. Location was great. Parking was easy. One bummer — the kitchen is on the top floor and when I went into it, sat a shirtless older senior gentleman eating. It was not something I wanted to deal with after a long day. But he was shirtless because the kitchen was also hot. I checked out early because I couldn’t sleep. I want to support local small businesses so I stayed here. I have stayed in many inns. This just wasn’t one. It’s a hostel.

Love this place because it feels like a home away from home. Unique concept of accommodations for guests - bed and breakfast without a real breakfast but with the convenience of a few breakfast items and kitchen/dining space for preparing a simple meal. Clean and cosy with well explained rules.

I had such a nice stay. The bathrooms and kitchen were shared, but I didn't see anyone else during my stay. The location is excellent. Portable AC was appreciated since my room was on the top floor. Tim clearly has put in a lot of effort to make clear signage so all spaces could be clean and comfy for all guests.

My wife and I really didn't know what to expect. When we arrived, it was amazing. Tim was one of the best hosts that we have ever had the honor of meeting. The best part was, No TV in the room. It was really amazing to reconnect with my wife and zero distractions. Thank you for the beautiful weekend. We will be staying again. Absolutly loved it

8/10 Very good

Super clean, organized, comfy place. As it is an older wooden building, the floors/stairs are very creaky, and our door would only close properly if we lifted it up, otherwise the wind from an open window would blow it open (or maybe ghosts?? mysterious), however you can get around this by locking the door. The breakfast options weren't great - plain cheerios or plain corn flakes, there was also apple & cinnamon oatmeal - but I did appreciate the different milk options. The unsweetened vanilla almond milk was nice. I wouldn't walk around the area in the evening/at night as there were plenty of shady characters - at one point we saw a lady very blatantly peeking into vehicles, so definitely lock your cars and bring belongings inside. However, there were so many cute restaurants/cafes/shops/pubs within walking distance, and walking around during the day was really nice.
