A mixed experience
When we arrived at check-in, we were first told that the handicap room with a King size bed we had booked was not available.
Instead, we were offered a regular room with 2 Queen size beds?
We told the receptionist that this was a no go, we still wanted as a minimum a King size bed, which she suddenly offered us?
The hotel seems worn out, the carpets needs to be replaced.
We had to go to the nearest Walmart, as the room and hallway smelled like a damp basement (no active bathroom fan).
The odor probably came from the air conditioning system, which needs to have its filters changed and a good cleaning.
The breakfast was super nice and the lady in the kitchen was very committed, helpful and friendly.
When we needed extra towels, the cleaning staff gave them to us, thank you!
Overall, a mixed experience. The location of the hotel is great in relation to excursions and restaurants, but the hotel itself needs an update.
