Had a booking issue (my fault) and send an email in attempt to resolve before we arrived. Did not receive response. Arrived and the young lady at the service desk was very friendly and resolve the issue. We discovered during the night the AC was not functioning and it was 26.5 degrees Celsius in the room. Contacted a young man at the desk and informed him about the conditions, we received no message about our room and after a long day returned to the room to discover there was no change and still had a miserable night. Went to the front desk again and expressed my concern, as told that the system was just overloaded. I insisted they they check again, at which point they determined the AC was not functioning. They then offered to move our accommodations. The rest of our stay went without issue.
We found the location to be excellent with many nice pubs and eating opportunities nearby., would highly recommend Woolpack. Room was clean and had all the amenities we needed in the room, even an iron with an ironing board. Staff was very friendly, just could have had a bit more communication on day 1 and 2.
