Room was very cute and cozy. Coziest bed ever, softest comforter I've ever felt. Owners were very friendly. They offered free breakfast but unfortunately we slept in and didn't get it but it was nice they offered.

Nice comfy overnight visit before crossing the border on a fishing trip. Very clean, roomy and comfortable. Did not like the neon light in the room or the bright back light to the tv which only turned on or off with the tv and the tv remote. Front desk people very friendly.

Voyageurs visit

Ryan & Amanda, the owners, are friendly, welcoming, & helpful. I booked a cabin & confirmed via messaging and by phone the availability of EV charging. The plug was on the front of the cabin & so convenient to charge overnight and gain enough miles to get to Tesla supercharger in Bemidji. Highly recommend this property if you’re visiting Voyageurs National Park.

Nice little cabin, much smaller than a hotel room. It was the size of a small bedroom with very limited room to move around and no closet. Thank goodness for the window AC unit to help cover the strong "old musty cabin" smell. Continental breakfast is extremely basic at best. Address on website is off, so double check your GPS for directions. Pet policy and rate not disclosed on website and hard to locate on Expedia. There's nowhere to indicate in advance that pet(s) are traveling too. Overall, it was a nice stay once expectations were lowered.

1) No staff available at 7:00 pm. Had to call to have staff unlock the office to get checked in. 2) No record of my reservation due to a change in ownership. I had to show my Expedia receipt. 3) Double-charged me at check-in since I prepaid. 4) Advertised continental breakfast on Expedia but none due to change in owners. 5) No staff available in the morning. Called 5 times to 2 different phone numbers, no answer. 6) Staff finally arrived and did get my refund for double-charging.

This is an older property that has been recently purchased by a young couple and they are trying hard to refurbish it and make improvements. The location was excellent for my trip and they were very helpful with a late check in. They need time to make their improvements. The room was comfortable and quiet. We had the Mario room and the corner light had us in stitches laughed so hard. It was fun . Kids would of loved it.

Comfy little family run lodge in an interesting small town. We had such a pleasant stay. Private park with picnic tables out back, good coffee, hot shower, we would happily choose Hilltop Lodge again.
