We've been staying at the Beau Rivage for years, but this last few times haven't been the same, and this stay was not a pleasant experience. The line to check-in had 100+ people in it, and at times there was just one staff member assisting "non-priority" guests. All while 1-2 what I assume are managers sat behind them but did nothing to assist with flow. It took more than 30 minutes to check in, and it messed up our plans for the evening as we had a tight timeline after arrival.
Then there's the overall decor. The property feels like we're still in the 90s, and while I did love the 90s, it's time for an update. Start with the carpet I beg of you.
I also came back late from an external event and was surprised at how few options there were for food late at night. For a casino whose business relies on people staying up late at night to gamble, it just seems odd you wouldn't want them properly fed.
I'll say the bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains helped me sleep in, if I had to pick a silver lining. I also have a lot of nostalgia for "The Beau" ... but honestly this stay will likely be my last, at least for a while until they make some changes.
