Front end was very friendly and helpful. When it was time to shower in the evening there was no shower curtain. I told the morning staff and she promptly put a shower curtain up. She was very nice about it.

Newly remodeled. Super soft sheets and comfortable bed. I like having the sink on the outside of the toilet and shower so it doesn’t fog up the mirror and others can still use it while someone is taking a shower. Great Mexican restaurant within walking distance. Away from downtown just enough so it’s not too crowded and you feel safe. Excellent price!!! Only complaint would be the air conditioning fan is loud.

Small Town

The motel is date but clean. The room is small but was sufficient for an over night stay. The bed was not the best but still comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate.

I didn't stay at the property. I accidentally made a reservation for the wrong place. I called the property 5 minutes after making the reservation and was told they could not cancel it for me. They were not authorized to do so and I needed to call back on Monday to speak to a manager. While I called back on Monday and someone answered the phone, I explained the situation to them again and the man tells me he is the only one that works there + I don't know how I need to change the part where the last couple sentences. But anyway I want to write a review. Everybody will know of my problems

Gone down hill!

I stayed at this Super 8 in Hot Springs, SD 2 years ago and it was nice. It has really gone down hill. I stayed there for 3 nights. The male employee looks like an aged out skateboarder. He was wearing a dirty hoodie that was frayed badly. He was gruff with me at check in and was so rude to me an hour before cbeck out, trying to rush me out so they could clean. The woman employee was dressed like a professional & was very pleasant & helpful. The room was not cleaned well. I found grape stems on the floor & it looked like the carpet was only vacuumed in the middle and not along the wall. The blanket and bedspread smelled like they hadn't been washed for a long time. The curtains had holes. I also stayed at a Days Inn in Sturgis for 2 days on this trip and for the same cost it was completely different. It was clean and the employees were super polite & welcoming. I would not recommend the Super 8 in Hot Springs, SD.

Bedding was absolutely terrible, 1 sheet and 1 super itchy & very old and thin throw blanket. The bathroom was super tiny and you could barely fit inside bathroom to shut the door.

Updated, clean but lacks a few small things!

The hotel has been updated quite recently so room condition was very good and was very clean. This is a super 8 so not a luxery hotel by any means but good value. We had a pet and there is a good area out one door for the dog to potty. The only downsides were the availability of outlets in the proper places--only two by bedside table and one being used for the wall lamp, and had to unplug the lamp on the desk to use the coffee pot--in the dark. There were a few other outlets but nothing by them to set you phone on etc...also no lugguage rack and limited hard spot to put luggage on for two people. Plenty of room for a luggage rack but nothing provided other than above the hanging rack which is too high to be able to see in your suitcase!! No drawers either so not like you can unpack it somewhere else either

Great deal and a great stay!

The overall room was very clean. The shower had wonderful pressure and stayed constant temperature. The bed was a little hard than what we are used too. But overall we will definitely stay there again when we go back to visit family.

Hot Springs SD Super 8.

No one at the desk. Had to search around and finally saw a small sign to call 0 and someone came. When we got to the room we saw that there was feces stuck to the toilet bowl so the bowl hadn’t been cleaned. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Some of the channels on the tv that showed available on the guide were not available. The area for the continental breakfast was freezing cold.

Comfortable and recently updated

Nice one-night stay, carpet in hallways is new and the furniture in my room was also new. As usual the host was very friendly and checked me in quickly. The stay was comfortable and quiet. Nice to see the upgrades since my last stay. Also great location right next door to Mammoth Site and a delicious Mexican restaurant.
