The staff were great, no issue there. It is clearly an older property that was overdue for updating which they are now in the midst of doing. Our room was clean but the carpets were old, the furniture also old and chipped the varnish of the wood tables and dresser well past it's best-before date exposing raw wood, it is just plan old and worn. The website pictures a restaurant: it has closed down some time ago. Renovations are actively taking place but during the booking process none of that is disclosed. The staff are pleasant and well aware that the product is not as it should be and they did their best accomodate, kudos to them.
