Fantastic hotel

The staff were fantastic, they helped me see tour options and arranged the taxi pick up and drop off for the airport run. They explained where things were e.g. the metro station and where my pick up point was for a tour I was going on. They were really friendly and professional, always smiling and happy to help make my stay the best. The hotel itself was also amazing, the atmosphere was really good and friendly. I’ll recommend and will stay again if I’m ever back in Quito. It’s also very close to lots of attractions. Thank you for a great stay.

Very friendly, great location!

All the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was limited but okay. I requested a room with a view, but didn’t realize it was 6 floors up—with no elevator! Do I asked for a lower-level room and got one on the third floor. The next night I moved to a lower floor, however, it was very noisy. Good thing I had my ear plugs. The location is fantastic!

Aunque la ciudad tiene un clima frío, el hotel no cuenta con abanico ni aire acondicionado, lo que se nota un poco incómodo. Las opciones de comida son muy limitadas, ofrecen únicamente desayuno, pero tampoco tienen otras opciones para pagar adicional. La zona donde está ubicado me parece bastante insegura, lo que hace que uno se sienta restringido a salir libremente, y eso afecta bastante la experiencia. Además, la televisión es bastante anticuada, lo que no ayuda a mejorar la estancia. Sin embargo, creo que el mayor problema es la inseguridad que se percibe actualmente en el país, lo cual realmente influye en cómo uno vive su estadía aquí.

The Good - location, location, location, In the heart of central Quito with a nice grocery store two doors up the street and a decent one across the street, and plenty of good restaurants close by, Room was spacious, had a mini-fridge, an outside patio area, and a central courtyard with seats, tables, sofas and such. The Bad - Not for mobility impaired as there is no elevator. The Ugly - no parking and street parking is often unavailable. If uou want a Hilton or Hyatt type hotel, you will not like the hotel. But, if you want kind of a funky, relaxed, cool experience, you will like it.

The pics posted by Expedia reflect what the hotel looks like. It is an amazing property with great location if you want to be the Colonial or Historic part of Quito but the hotel doesn’t offer any outlets to eat or bar to drink, the room where I stayed at is was super small, they provided with an old, enfasis on the OLD towel, a very very very small soup and that was it. The bed was terrible, noisy and the mattress hard as a rock! I STAYED AT ROOM 23, don’t request or stay on that room. Staff… I don’t even know what to say… I don’t think that I’d like to stay there again

Perfect location in the historic old town. So quaint and beautiful and we felt it was a good value for the money. Went all the way to the top observation platform and flew my drone capturing the rolling majesty of Quito. You can walk to many attractions and lots of food options nearby. I want to stay again.

There is ONE room in the hotel that is like the room shown in pictures. The rest of the rooms have badly worn furniture, very old bedspreads that have faded (couldn’t tell if they’d been washed or not), towels that were shredding due to overuse and the bathrooms are ancient with shower heads that spray random spots of water. For breakers every morning you get 2 eggs (scrambled or fried) with fruit and cold bread rolls. The menu NEVER changes. We were supposed to stay here another 3 nights but cancelled and found a better hotel. At the very least, don’t pay before you get there so that you can cancel if you’re unhappy with your room. I took pictures of the room to share with my review but I don’t see anyplace to add them.

The staff of this location are exceptional. There was delicious made to order breakfast every morning. We relied heavily on the front desk staff since we speak little Spanish. They recommended lunch spots, called us taxis, and helped at every opportunity. The hotel is older but very clean. The front door is locked at all times and the front desk buzz you in and out. This added security helped us to feel safe at all times. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a worry free stay.
