Great room with very modern doors, bathroom & fixtures. Good AC/Heating with remote. Nice shower and bathtub. Very nice couple with their son. They didn't speak great English but were very wonderful and friendly so it didn't matter. (We could get by with hand signals, google translate and smiles. Not much really necessary to communicate since everything worked great. We stayed for the Inuyama cherry blossom fesitval. Was really close to the beautiful castle and the historic old castle town where the fesitval was. Lots of nice shops.

Slamming doors and bad rest
Slamming doors from the neighbors, I am sure it was out of the owners control but why?

No information on how to check in. Finally has to ring the door bell for neighbourhood house to contact the house owner.
As a 民宿,I am expecting I can cook myself. But I have to pay 500 yen to use the kitchen. And the kitchen is extremly small just sufficient for instant noodle only. No place for cutting, putting plate.
Location is ok. Walkable distance to JR and castle.

The room is a repurposed office, so the shape is a little unusual having a full window as the wall facing the road. This is covered by a curtain. If you need to sleep in total darkness, it may be a little uncomfortable. The curtain blocked the light enough for us to sleep comfortably though. The location gives great walking access to the castle and train station. There are trains and buses to different cultural attractions.
There was a short fireworks show every evening from about 8:30 to 9 (in the beginning of August.) We had a great view from the walking bridge over the main road just a two minute walk from the apartment. The fireworks were set off far from the apartment, so it was not too loud.
Local restaurants were not great, but there was a super market where we could pickup things for breakfast. The small refrigerator and microwave made it easy to keep and heat food without using the “kitchenette” which had a 500 yen extra fee for its use.
Near the castle and other attractions, restaurants were very good.
