The hotel is being updated from a Budget motel to Wingate. The pool and weight room was closed for renovation. The hotel smelled of paint fumes and our bathroom leaked of urine.

Pool and fitness center were closed for renovation

I took my family and we selected this hotel because it had a pool and fitness center however both were closed for renovations. Using the hotels.com app we filtered our search to only show us hotels with pools and this came up in our search despite the pool being closed. Disappointing.

Under construction!!! Be Aware

We checked in for our granddaughters graduation on Friday. The hotel was being renovated and the construction crew had little regard for the guests. At dinner time, they were tiling the floor of one of the 2 elevators (the hotel was booked solid due to graduation) but rather than take that elevator out of service, they worked on it. So when you pushed the button, the elevator would open with a workman inside. If you tried to get the other elevator, the same one would open with a workman in it. We used the stairs several times as it was impossible to get the one working elevator. The breakfast area had artwork on the tables, and tools everywhere. The construction people had absolutely no regard for the guests. In our bathroom (which had be recently "renovated") the knob on the shower control came off in my husbands hand when he tried to turn it on. Only because he is handy were we able to use the shower. Despite our room being very large, there was a huge empty space where a sofa or chair should have been but there was noting. The lamps on the bedside table were orientated so that you could not turn them on unless you crawled on the floor to find the cord. Obviously someone just put the furniture in the room with no regard for how it would work for a guest. I made this reservation almost a year ago so we would have rooms for graduation, very disappointing!

Quick overnight so it what it is. EVERYTHING was under construction. Even the ice machine was not working. Room was clean and comfy, pillows are mushy. Again, cheap and served its purpose however not what we expected at all.

Disappointing

The place was being renovated and had a strong unpleasant smell because of that. The pool was out of order and was one of the things we were looking forward to. The key cards didn’t work. The desk worker didn’t permanently fix this. We were only able to get the key card to work once. The fridge is tiny and on the floor. The bathroom counter didn’t seem very clean. The bath tub was very narrow and the inner sides of the tub were very slanted so it was uncomfortable. The drain in the shower was very hard to use so the tub filled up when showering. The tv remote buttons had to be pressed very hard or it wouldn’t turn on or change channels. They didn’t have any breakfast ready at 6am and we had to check out ASAP. The bed was firm and comfortable but if you like nice pillows bring your own. I would not come here again. We come to Mechanicsburg every week and are looking for a better hotel for our visits.

Didn’t no they was up grading when made reservatio

Was never told the pool wasn’t open when we made reservations and that they were renovating the place. My husband got bit twice on the face, not sure what it was but it was bad. Front deck people were not friendly. They were not dressed very nice to greet people.

They were renovating the hotel. Had a terrible time with the door lock of my room. When you stepped in the tub it sank and popped. Some of the electrical sockets didn't work. It was not a good experience.
