Beautiful Hotel. Comfortable stay!

10/10 Exceptional

The Grand Galvez is beautiful, charming, and rich in history. Most of the staff were wonderful; however, some of the restaurant and lobby bar staff could have been warmer and more welcoming. They weren’t rude—just a little dry and not quite up to the exceptional standard of the rest of the hotel. The pool was wonderful, and the room was very comfortable. The television didn’t always work, but we weren’t there to watch TV anyway! Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return. The Grand Galvez is truly a five-star Galveston experience.

We have been coming to the Galvez for years and the service at the pool was horrible. Nobody cleaned up the trash or put away the clean towels. They used to wait in you wherever you were sitting. What happened to great service??

Clean comfortable room with a nice restaurant and awesome pool!
Verified review

8/10 Very good

The only real complaint I have is that there wasn't enough parking but once the parking opened up a little bit it was great! The room was beautiful we had a full Ocean View and it was almost a 180 view in our room. The only other complaint I have is the Sunday brunch was quite pricey for what it was so we skipped it. The hotel is absolutely breathtaking beautifully maintained!

The rooms are clean and the hotel is beautiful but food and room are overpriced. The staff is very nice and made everything right when we didn’t have a bigger sized fridge in our room and the vallet found room for our big van . Excellent customer service.
