I really enjoy staying here. On this occasion I arrived close to the spa facilities closing but the lady on reception (an Irish accent) was really helpful and explained that it was ok to go in and she would keep it all open for another 15-20 minutes which was just enough time for me to relax and unwind after a hectic day. I stayed again 2 days later and arrived in plenty of time to really enjoy the facilities this time.

We loved our visit! We stayed for one night with our dog, and felt welcome and taken care of. As we visited in July, the hotel was in the warmer side, but thankfully the windows in the bedroom opened and there was a small fan provided that we made use of. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Because we had our dog with us, we were sat in the club room, but we were very happy with the service we received here, and were very comfortable at our private table overlooking the estate. The leisure facilities were very clean and had everything you need for a workout, swim, or sauna. Overall, very happy with our stay and would happily return! Only regret is not having stayed an extra night!

The only reason i gave this hotel four stars is that i had to go for the cheapest room. Had only one Tiny window and that doesn't help if you need light for work. I'm sure more expensive rooms were great, I just didn't had a chance to experience it. Restaurant was outstanding. And staff ... beypnd expectations. They will go not only an extra mile for you, but ten miles. I felt welcomed and important.

Myself and family arrived home yesterday from a one night stay at thainstone house. I stayed here years ago for a wedding and remember being very impressed with it, therefore wanted to come back for a stay with my family. (It was my wife's birthday). I'll begin with all the positives from our stay.....the house and rooms were very impressive and really lovely. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly. The leisure facilities were good and clean. However, there were a few niggles that I think would prevent us staying again unfortunately. When I booked the stay, I stated it was my wife's birthday and could anything be done at dinner for this and received no reply. We travelled 2 hours to get to the hotel, and had dinner booked on arrival. Dining area was lovely and staff friendly. We ordered our food; it was served to us and then we were told what my son had ordered wasn't available. (I would assume, being told this when ordering would be standard protocol). We all had finished our meals before he received his meal, which was so disappointing. I did speak to someone discreetly, and credit where it is due, he was lovely and apologetic - he discounted the bill. So, although this wasn't ideal, it was put right and dealt with well. The food was ok, but really nothing special. My steak just looked like it had been popped in the oven. Service was incredibly slow, even for drinks. My sister called the reception numerous times on Friday evening, as she wanted to
