A lovely, relaxing retreat. The spa, pool and grounds were inviting and beautiful. The rooms were clean, modern and stylish. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a great breakfast and terrific dining options (loved the sushi restaurant and local cuisine). The staff were very helpful and made the stay comfortable and welcoming.

6/10 Good

This hotel was a bit odd. The main parts of the hotel and the outside areas (pool, spa, garden, etc) were quite nice. The pineapple greenhouse with the hottub was a bit sketchy, but we enjoyed a soak after a big hike one day. Room and bathroom not as expected from photos, a bit run down but servicable. Because it is a "nature" hotel there were odd bar shampoos and lotions (which left me wishing I had brought my own) and if you wanted a new pool towel it was 5 euros...but the robes were nice and they left a welcome gift in our room to recognized a special occaision, which was lovely of them. The place felt understaffed...one poor bartender serving all of the bar, dining room and the outdoor pool area (which was a hike for him), and one waitress managing the whole restaurant at dinner and breakfast. Food was pretty good at magma and in the bar. We were disappointed that the front desk staff rarely said hello as we passed by or as we were coming and going throughout the day. For a smallish hotel, it was inpersonal. We were expecting more for the price honestly...overall has a lot of potential but was just OK.

Perfect oasis

This was our first hotel on the island, and our favorite! The hotel is just the perfect oasis, a small boutique hotel with infinity pool, hot tub inside a pineapple greenhouse, two restaurants, and a rooftop bar. Very accommodating for children, will definitely stay again when we come back!

10/10 Exceptional

We had the pleasure of staying 10 nights at Senhora da Rosa with half board - and we immensely enjoyed both the delicious food at both restaurants and the lovely pool and spa facilities. Despite visiting in november, well out of the vacation season, we lacked for nothing: everyone were extremely polite and acommodating and we had a great time. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone considering visiting the Azores!

8/10 Very good

Our stay at Senhora da Rosa was a truly memorable experience, thanks in large part to the exceptional staff. Every interaction felt warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — the team here elevates the entire stay and makes you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. One of the standout highlights was the Asian‑fusion restaurant. The dishes were creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. It’s easily one of the culinary gems of the property and absolutely worth experiencing during your stay. The amenities throughout the hotel are thoughtfully designed, and the surrounding nature is simply breathtaking. The lush greenery, peaceful atmosphere, and overall setting make it a perfect place to unwind. The outdoor pool is especially lovely — modern, refreshing, and set against a gorgeous natural backdrop. There are, however, a few areas where the spa and gym facilities could be improved. The spa would benefit from: • A hotter sauna and a proper steam room • Warmer showers • A rest area that feels cozier, as it was a bit chilly These enhancements would bring the wellness experience up to the same high standard as the rest of the property. Overall, Senhora da Rosa is a beautiful retreat with outstanding staff, delicious dining, and a serene natural environment. With a few upgrades to the spa and gym, it has the potential to be truly exceptional.
