A great place with the inner west vibe in a central location just outside of the cool place of Newtown. Highly recommended, the staff are fantastic. Only thing is that the streets are bit narrow and parking can be a bit hard to find might help to park a bit further and walk to the pub and hotel. Everything else is excellent.

In town for a 30th so I just needed a solid overnighter. No frills pragmatic affordable stay for a couple. Staff were great, check it was very quick and straight forward. Would book again in a pinch no dramas. No air or heating - wasn't an issue for us this stay as it was a temperate time of year, but I can imagine it could get really cold or hot, but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It’s upstairs in a pub! Just a small room with a bed, lamp & tv, that’s it! I’d say value for money if it was $60-$80/night But at $143/night in the off season I’d want my own toilet with a door I could close without having to stand on the toilet. And I’d like to feel more confident that my room door lock was not about to fall off

Fantastic hotel, especially for the price. The room was large, clean and well maintained, no complaints at all. The staff was friendly. The shared kitchen and bathroom were also clean and well maintained. There is a very nice bar downstairs and the hotel itself is only about five minutes walk from Newtown which made it a convenient stay for out night out at the Enmore. The only downside was no air-conditioning in the rooms and I imagine it could get pretty hot in the summer months as it was already a little warm when we stayed in october. Overall, very happy with the experience and I would definitely stay there again.

Price is good and a friendly staff member helped me carry my luggage upstairs. The neighborhood is great! Hotel is above a pub, I was there on a Thursday night and it was quiet. No air conditioning, there is a ceiling fan. It was hot the night I was there. Sheets were clean, carpets were stained. My room had an en-suite with sink and toilet, shower down the hall. Hotel was clean, but pretty dated.

Nice bar. But a VERY average experience as a hotel... The room we stayed in looked like it had not seen a proper clean/bit of TLC in over 6 months, grimey and dusty. Very humid night and the portable AC unit was broken, with no replacements available, had to resort to opening the window. Base of window frame then breaks off immediately. Exposing old, rotten wood and rusty nails, and then would not stay open without slamming down every 15 minutes. Dead cockroach in cabinet.. Not the most inviting experience, quite nasty. Felt more like a run down hostel. Not worth the $250.00 p/night.

Quiet suburb just a few hundred metres down from the bustle of Newton. Plenty of cafes and local neighbourhood vibe. The pub under the rooms was pretty good, dog friendly, and very busy on a Sunday arvo. This is pub accommodation, so don’t expect too much. The room was very big and clean. The bed was a double, not a queen. Had a toilet and hand wash basin in the room. The big disappointment was that the communal showers had zero hot water. We had cold showers.

Everything were how we have expected but, there was one thing that was confusing. We have reserved for 2 rooms. Which one of the rooms would've been with a king size bed for my husband and I. We ended up with the smaller room which we had to squeeze our selves on the smaller bed. Downside for that smaller room was there weren't no mirrors so we had to go the the restroom to get ready. Which we still have to share with other occupants. The larger room was given to our companion which she was the only one in that room. She had the larger bed and a mirror in the closet which her closet was larger than ours and had 2 night stands with 2 keys vs my husband and I had to share 1 key and share a nightstand as well. I was not too happy about this part. Overall, the managers were super nice and accomodating which they have allowed us to leave our baggages until it was time for us to leave for the airport.

Very tired, dated rooms, no real care taken. Basin was chipped and rusted. Blind wouldn't open. The duvet inner between two loose sheets was very stained. Lights on side table dirty.
