Because of a complete shutdown of the Reno-Tahoe airport on February 24th, 2026 SWA flight from San Diego was canceled along with all other airlines. SWA was not able to rebook flights until the next night at 7:30pm. Hotels.com wanted to charge for a late cancellation fee on 2/24/26 due to failure to cancel at least 48 hours and the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Tahoe would not waive the charge. These statements comply with all criteria that hotels.com sets forth prior to publication of customer reviews.
