Great stay and very quiet environment. But hotel rooms need to update their wooden floors to carpet as the wooden floors collects dust and makes your feet dirty easily. Nice that it was close to the highway.

The staff was very friendly and check-in went easily. The room itself was very dated, and there was a faint, lingering smell of old cigarette smoke. I traced this back to the air conditioning unit, which has probably been in service since smoking was allowed in all rooms. The bathroom was clean, but the shower drain was very slow so you were standing in water the entire time.

Ice cold showers- hotel rooms without hot water

If you want an ice cold shower- this is ypur place! We reserved our room for one night, we were driving long distance -all we wanted was a warm shower and comfortable nights sleep. Went to take a shower and the water was ice cold. Let it run for a bit and still ice cold. Wrnt downstairs to ask front desk about it. Her response was yeah theres room on the 2nd floor that dont have hot water. She said she couldnt move us as the hotel was fully booked and we couldnt cancel as there is no refunds. So this place just sucks.

Perfect for a quick stay.

Great stay. Easy check in. Comfy rooms. We got there late and asked for a crib last minute and there was zero hesitation. It was rolled to our room within minutes! Breakfast could have used more options, but overall a great stay for our needs.

Overall the hotel was fine. However shortly after we checked in, there was a pipe that burst causing the entire hotel to not have water. We were not notified and had to call the from desk when we discovered we didn't have water for showers etc. A few water bottles to use for "bathing" were offered to us but nothing further. We were told we had to wait until the pipe was fixed sometime in the afternoon. Unfortunately we had an event (the purpose of our stay) to get to so we couldn't wait for it to be fixed. No further compensation was offered and if we wanted to talk to the manager we could at check out. When we did check out, the manager was not available but would call us. No one has called. In addition, the walls are very thin as we could hear everything going on next door. This was rather awkward as my daughter was with me.

Water wasn't working didn't tell me found out myself in the room heat wasn't working right gave me a electric heater tried to move to another room wasn't cleaned had liquor still in it bed wasn't made tried to get another said nothing had been cleaned tables falling apart in rooms stuff in bathroom falling apart when you touched it tv not right coffee was water bed stuff smelled like it hadn't been washed just made it up nobody apologized for anything shouldn't have stayed but had somewhere to go didn't have a choice should have been free other people complaining about no hot water room was very dirty lady went out got her coffee at wawa horrible experience water was on when we got back but no excuses for everything

Wonderful hotel/people. Unlucky night.

I loved the room(s) & the desk staff were AMAZING, but i had 4 rooms in 1 night. 1st room heater didn't work so i got moved. 2nd room heater didn't work again as the plug-in outlet was ripped out of the wall & the plug had burn marks & was partially melted. went to front desk & got upgraded/moved again for the 3rd time to a suite. heater worked, but fridge was dead. went back to front desk again & told young lady the fridge didn't work as i had a bag of food. she was shocked, but abdolutely AMAZING & felt terrible. put me into my 4th room & finally everything worked. woke up next morning to use the toilet & it didn't flush. took cover off & tank was empty. tried the shower then sink & nothing. no water. got dressed & walked down hallway to desk at 9am & about halfway there the carpet was soaked. wet socks & feet. no warning signs. later saw hole in ceiling with tiles all over floor. desk people said pipe burst in middle of night & they had to shut off water. entire hotel had no water & they were unsure when it would be fixed as it was a Saturday. went back to room & found another hotel that had rooms open right away, so i packed up & checked out. desk staff felt terrible & refunded my money. i'm not mad at them as they all were wonderful & accomodating. just a crazy string of bad luck.

Was originally sent into 2 dirty rooms. Looked like someone was still staying there. Beds were undone, pizza boxes, trash in trash can, tvs were on. Finally got a clean room after the 3rd try, and the shower was broke and there was no stopper for the tub. Told front desk and nothing was done about it. I guess they also had a pipe burst, floor downstairs in hall was soaked and covered with towels and surrounded by ladders and fans. I will not be staying here again.

Roanoke Rapids

This facility was very good for an overnight stay. It was quiet and clean. There was a bit of a drive to get food , but it was easy to find. Lobby was welcoming, breakfast was ok. The side entry door close to the laundry did not close all the way.
