I'm going to be a bit harder on this hotel because it markets itself as a high end property.
Location was great - in a safe and attractive area and very walkable to lots of restaurants, bars and the theater we were in town to see a concert at. Staff was friendly, and the price was good for a Downtown property...
But those mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Hard as a rock! Marketed as a queen bed, but it was more of a long full. One of those old spring mattresses that I'd expect more at a Motel 6. My spouse and I tried to share the bed, but two of us barely fit - and every single movement woke the other one up (we actually took turns sleeping on the floor). A terrible night's sleep.
We were on a high floor, but the exterior windows hadn't been washed in a long, long time. Years of caked on grime on the outside so the views were terrible. And the rooms were really, really drab. Dark rooms with beige and brown tones and no color or personality.
Sink wouldn't drain and toilet required us to open the lid and adjust the floater after every flush or else the tank wouldn't fill back up.
If this was a budget hotel, these things would be more in line with my expectations...but I was very disappointed by this property. I'm used to more attention to detail, more contemporary mattresses and general wow factor from Downtown hotels in major US cities.
