We were in Philly for an event, booked this hotel online. After a 5.5 hour drive, we arrived at 2 pm, front desk, rudely, "no check ins until 3 pm." Not a big deal, couldve been nicer about it. Arrive back at 3 pm, they need $100 deposit. I was never made aware of this, UNTIL checking in. Front desk (manager), thankfully, was able to bypass the security deposit. (At this point, I was very thankful for that.) So, we get to our room a little after 3. (Always check for bed bugs and roaches) Out of the hotel by 515 pm, 530 at the latest. We arrive back after 1 am; we turn the lights on, roaches scatter. Packed up our stuff, went to front desk. The kid at the front desk, had no idea what was going on. Told him we checked in at 3, spent literally 2 hours in room and came back and theres roaches in our room, so were checking out. He didnt act surprised, meanwhile, my daughter and I are absolutely DISGUSTED. Ask for a refund, he rudely says, "No." Said i have to have proof (i do) asked if he wanted it , said no, i need to talk to the mngr; Manager gets in at 7 am. No apology, nothing. Call hotels.com, they reach out, same story, need to talk to mgr. Screen grab from the video..where there is one or two....theres MORE. And for a nonsmoking hotel, the smell of marijuana is overpowering and EVERYWHERE.
