Clean room, but several basic issues made the stay disappointing
Although the hotel has a pleasant exterior and the receptionist was welcoming, several avoidable issues left us disappointed with our stay.
At check-in, we did not receive any basic information about check-out procedures, breakfast options (even though we had not booked breakfast), or how to access the Wi-Fi. The receptionist was friendly and helpful whenever we asked questions, but it felt more like a training issue — she seemed unsure about what information to provide proactively. While her attitude was excellent, the overall experience lacked the level of professionalism we expected.
When we arrived in the room, there was again no information provided. One of the toilet flush mechanisms did not work properly and continued running unless it was hit hard, which is something that should be addressed during routine maintenance. The room was also quite cold on arrival (only 19°C), and although we eventually worked out the thermostat, it did not create a warm first impression.
The biggest frustration was the Wi-Fi. I could connect in the reception area but not in our room, despite the booking confirming that free Wi-Fi was included. We had to return to reception for the correct login details — again highlighting the lack of basic communication — but even with the corrected information, the Wi-Fi still did not work in the room.
