I have stayed in 10+ hotels in the last two months. This was, by far, the worst hotel experience I have had in recent years.
The hotel management only staffed one person at the front desk. ONE person for 80+ people needing to check-in within a three hour period. The line filled the lobby for hours.
The hotel shuttle worked well for us, but we overheard that 80 people were waiting for the shuttle at the airport. With the shuttle only having 13 seats, people waited for almost two hours.
Worst part? Our air conditioner didn’t work. It took about two hours to wait in line to ask the one employee for help, for them to attempt to fix it, to realize they didn’t fix it, to wait in line AGAIN to talk to the one employee, and to get a new room. It was EXHAUSTING.
I do want to give credit to that one employee, Tina, for staying calm and patient with 80+ people who needed her that night. She is a hero.
We will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Management team: you need to analyze your staffing. You cannot book 80 rooms and have only one staff member and one 13-passenger shuttle running from the airport. UNACCEPTABLE.
